What a tremendous long weekend stay at May River Manor! Truly a phenomenal inn, so well appointed with 5 beautiful suites. Our Okatie Suite was a gorgeous 2nd floor suite with a large private balcony. The suite was so beautiful and had a super comfortable 4-poster king bed. Delightful walk in shower and double sinks in the bath area. Our breakfasts each day were carefully prepared by our chef, and they were delicious! In the afternoons, we were greeted with wonderful charcuterie boards and white wine. Meg and Lynn were so accommodating! They were fabulous as evidenced by the high level of service and care they showed during our stay. If you’re looking for an upscale inn in Olde Towne Bluffton, this is the place! Wholeheartedly recommend! You’ll be so happy you did!

Ahhh.....quiet, relaxing, luxurious, secluded. A wonderful inn with 5 spacious guest rooms, large porch overlooking the back yard and pool, and a very attentive staff. (The afternoon snack charcuterie board in our room was most appreciated!) Mattress and bed linens were exceptional. Made-to-order breakfast, served in the downstairs breakfast room, was delicious! Southern charm at its finest.

Wow!! My husband and I are Bluffton locals and decided to take a staycation at the May river Manor for Valentine’s Day weekend. It was so perfect in every way! The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. They worked with my husband to set up a surprise for me in our room with roses, candles, a Valentine’s Day, balloon, and rose petals on the floor and bed. I am pregnant and they even had a bottle of nonalcoholic champagne for me. The stay was so relaxing. The breakfast was delicious! There’s no accommodation. The staff can’t meet. From food, allergies to special requests they make sure everything is just how you like it. They also did a lot of fun extra stuff like s’mores around the fire pit, charcuterie, boards, even an ice cream sundae bar. We had a special snack board set up for us in our room every evening tailored to our needs. I wish I could just move in! I cannot recommend this place enough. We can’t wait to go back!

Quiet elegance, that is the phrase that comes to mind when I think of my three-night stay at this wonderful property. The staff was top notch and attentive, I'll start there. The breakfast options were absolutely amazing (I loved the creative "soul bowl" which consisted of poached eggs, grits, black-eyed peas and greens). The public spaces (both dining and living) were comfortable and quiet. My room had all the expected, plus a beautiful and high-end walk-in shower. I am pleased to highly recommend the May River Manor.

We just ended the most special peaceful and relaxing week at the most magical place on the planet, May River Manor, in Bluffton SC! As usual my incredible wife did her exhaustive research to find this secluded getaway which exceeded all of our expectations so much so that we extended our stay! The Manor is a labor of love for owner, Amador, whose vision over the past seven years epitomizes attention to detail from the interior design to the exterior serenity to the absolutely AMAZING staff we have never experienced a more tranquil vacation! This estate became our home and Meg, Lynn, Gabby, Carlis , and Amador are now part of our extended family. Their sincerity, kindness and genuine hospitality are heartfelt and much appreciated. Just a few things we needed to add…you will never find a more immaculately cared for facility…it is SPOTLESS! The decor is minimalistically unique with each room having its own personality. Enjoying the enormous well appointed balconies as the hanging plants sway in the gentle breeze to the music of Andrea Bocelli transports you to another world. Then there’s the pool…a great place to soak in the sun with all its quietness and an occasional deer siting. Last but certainly not least are the daily breakfasts…made to order…lovingly prepared and super scrumptious…it doesn’t get any better than this! We just wish we could transport all of this back home with us but rest assured our entire experience at May River Manor will be indelibly etched in our memories forever! Thanks again SO MUCH…we cannot recommend May River Manor enough to anyone and everyone traveling to or through the Bluffton area!

I am not one to write reviews but feel compelled to do one on the May River Manor. Absolutely five star all the way! The Manor is unbelievably stunning in and out. We had a suite on the second floor which was beautiful with a large shared balcony. Super comfortable bed with luxurious sheets. Breakfast was beautifully presented in a peaceful setting on back porch overlooking a gorgeous yard and pool. Afternoon wine and charcuterie was a nice touch. Meg James was the most accommodating and personable manager. She went above and beyond to make our stay the absolute best. Dining recommendations and places to explore were top notch. Being my birthday, when returning from dinner one of the nights was a plate of fancy small desserts with a candle in our room. We would definitely recommend the May River Manor for anyone looking for that special getaway.

Beautiful property with wonderful owner and host. Indoor/outdoor space was well appointed with a beautiful covered deck off the room and a gorgeous pool area with water feature. I would definitely go back. Would be a great place for family retreats or smaller groups/parties who need 5 rooms as you could have the whole place to yourself.

This place is amazing! It's like staying at your own private estate. Super quiet and off the busy street, but close to Bluffton with shops and restaurants. There are only 5 guests suites with large private patios and balconies. The staff was incredible! Amador, Meg and team were so friendly and accommodating! Personalized breakfasts to meet dietary needs with healthy options. Treats and snacks throughout the day. The rooms were extremely comfortable and well-stocked with plenty of soaps, lotions, and bathrobes (with soft toilet paper, too!). Perfectly spotless and clean! Wireless phone charges on the nightstands. Great wifi. And chargers for the Tesla. This is now our favorite spot in southern South Carolina! This place would make an excellent family reunion spot or small office work retreat.

I don’t usually write reviews, but May River Manor is a lovely secret in Bluffton SC, (though that is not going to last long). MRM is a beautiful 5 bedroom B&B just west of Old Town Bluffton. Our room was well appointed and had a lovely shared balcony that over-looked the landscaped grounds and pool. There are also common areas within the house to kickback and relax. Our morning breakfasts were delicious and in the afternoon a wine and a charcuterie board were an additional treat. Meg James, the manager, had lots of fun ideas on how to spend our time and made great dinner recommendations. We are anxious to visit again soon!
