San Servolo is a resort that combines camping (fancy camping) facilities and a bed and breakfast with a resort feel. It is divided into two sections with different options whether you are camping, prefer a "mobile home" experience (more like a tiny house with an outdoor jacuzzi!), or the traditional hotel room. We opted for the hotel room. They have two buildings for that. One is located in the same as their spa (so pool and saunas in same building) and the other is a walk across the parking lot. Plentiful parking and our room was quite large. No impressive view for us (just the brewery:),but lots of space and comfy bed with a tv that worked. The pool (indoor) was warm and quite nice with lots of space around to lounge. Sauna was great. Light in the steam room was broken so didn't get to experience that. My husband tried their famous beer bath and raved about how amazing he felt and how smooth his skin was for days after! (That is a bit pricey though, but it's a splurge on yourself). Two restaurants there - the steak one is expensive, but portion sizes are MASSIVE and quality is quite good. Great wine list and the biggest, fanciest gin and tonic I've ever had. Oh and a beautiful view of the hill town nearby - I think that was Buje,as well as of the sea. The pizzeria is located over in the camping section (which also has an outdoor pool, fitness studio and outdoor jacuzzi) and the pizza was not bad. Yes, not super cheap, but not a wallet breaker. Yes, there are ants around - we saw them near the pool and some in the bedroom, but it still was clean - just a warmer, more humid environment where it can be harder to keep them out. Nothing crazy.

Our stay at San Servolo was absolutely fantastic! We had a bit of a nightmare with our flight being delayed by 24hrs on the way out but to arrive at this amazing resort made it worth the stress. We had a Junior Suite in the Villa Romantica and it was a fantastic room. All the facilities were spot on and the standard was the highest we've experienced. We saw a few reviews that mentioned ants and yes there were a few in the room but they caused us no harm, it's just part of nature. The pool area was just amazing and never really that busy, the Pizzeria and Steakhouse provided delicious food - you must try the Bruschetta Benny at the Pizzeria. The breakfast was also delicious and had lots of variety considering it's just continental. All the staff were always so friendly and helpful. Honestly, this place exceeded all our expectations. It was only a short break for us so we didn't explore too much of the local area, except for one visit to Novigrad which is about a 20min drive - that was lovely too. We will be returning in the future and plan to stay for a week next time and we cannot wait.

Having been a fan of the San Servolo beer, when I saw this property it was a no brainer for me for our stay in Istra. And the resort really lives up to the high standard set by their excellent beers! The mobile home we stayed in was very nicely decorated and designed, and comfortably fit our family and our daughter's travel cot. The mobile home had its own jacuzzi which we very much enjoyed - a great way to relax after a day exploring the beauties of the Istrian peninsula. The pool at the resort was gorgeous (although too cold for my liking) and the pizzeria lived up to its billing as one of the best pizzerias in Istria. The breakfast didn't have the broadest selection of items, but everything on offer was of the highest order. The resort also had good kids facilities with a lovely playground area and all the room for our daughter to run around. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, so really everything about the resort was of excellent quality.
