Stayed here recently for our honeymoon and were blown away by just how nice it was. The weather was not the best, so we had limited time by the pool areas but they looked fantastic for those fortunate enough to have the sun. The communal area felt cosy and we spent most evenings there by the fire/bar with other guests. The meals and snacks offered between game drives were excellent. There was a choice and I never felt left out by my dietary requirements. We were very happy with the food provided and the service. There was also a large choice of beverages although limited selection of spirits. The staff were friendly and there was always someone around to attend to you. The star of the show however, was Nico. He was our game guide and driver and managed to make our stay even more enjoyable. His knowledge and professionalism were fantastic. Even with the bad weather we still managed to have some excellent sightings of animals and an overall great experience.

So eine sch?ne gepflegte Anlage! Die Zelte sind gro?, ausgesprochen sauber und sehr liebevoll. Der Ausblick über das Reservat grandios. Das Personal verdient ein besonderes Dankesch?n und ein sehr gro?es Lob! Unser Tourguide Nico war super, alle Fragen konnte er beantworten und war sehr bemüht uns alles zu zeigen und zu erkl?ren. Es geht früh und nachmittags auf Tour, ca 3h. Das Essen war sehr lecker und es gab auch immer Auswahl. Die Pools sind einladend und zum relaxen da. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und k?nnen es zu 100% empfehlen. Vielen Dank für die unvergesslichen Tage!

Naturbelassene Unterkunft mitten in der Natur! Schlafen im Zelt ist immer etwas abenteuerlich, aber ein Muss auf einer Safari! Die Zelte haben sogar ein Bad und eine Terrasse, die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und natürlich! Beim leckeren frühstücken auf der Terrasse den Elefanten zuschauen, zwischen den Safaris entspannen an einem der beiden Pool’s! Die Guide’s waren super, das Essen lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich! Und wir haben ganz viele Tiere gesehen:)

This is our second trip to Woodbury Tented Camp in Amakhala. The staff are simply the friendliest and go out of their way to make your stay memorable and comfortable. The tents are equipped with en suite bathroom and there is a fan for summer and electric blankets for the colder winter months. The two pools are sparkling clean and the main areas comfortable and tidy. Plenty of deck space for sitting back and watching for wildlife coming to the waterhole. We enjoyed 4 game drives with Tim, our field guide, and he was polite, full of knowledge on the birds and animals we saw, and a very safe driver. The food is homely and plentiful. You will not go hungry! I cannot recommend Woodbury Tented Camp highly enough.

What a fantastic experience from the moment we arrived to welcome drinks, until our final breakfast after our final early morning safari. The accommodation was incredibly comfortable and private, we had Tent 10 with the Waiter's tent alongside where my adult son slept. We stayed for two nights and did all four safaris, our ranger, Tim, was incredibly knowledgeable and we were so grateful to have seen so much wildlife over the four safaris. The weather wasn't brilliant for a lot of our stay but even an early morning safari in the rain was an experience worth having. The food was really tasty, as a vegetarian it was great that they were so creative with my meals and the rest of my family really enjoyed their meals too. All the drinks were complimentary, as much tea, coffee, soft drinks or alcohol as you wanted. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful and helped make the stay so memorable. Little touches like the Amarula and hot chocolate after the evening safari were perfect. There were two pools available but the weather wasn't really on our side so we didn't really get to use them. I would highly recommend the Woodbury Tented Camp for your safari experience, it was awesome!

A great way to see African animals in a magnificent setting. Our guide was excellent, very patient, knowledgeable and fun. We learned a lot on six expertly conducted safari drives over 3 days. Accommodation very good and food absolutely delicious, beautifully served.

Obwohl ich sehr reiseerfahren bin: Ich habe noch nie eine Bewertung abgegeben. Doch diesmal ist es mir ein Bedürfnis: es war fantastisch. Guide Greg hat sich ein Bein ausgerissen, um den Interessen der G?ste gerecht zu werden. Toll!! Danke! Sehr leckeres Essen, ganz liebes Personal-wir hatten ein kleines Problem und es wurde sich wirklich vorbildlich gekümmert -. Sehr sehr sch?ne Unterkunft, sehr sauber und komfortabel. Es fehlte an NICHTS! Hoffentlich macht Ihr weiter so. Ganz herzliche Grü?e und nochmal Danke an das gesamte Team für die sch?nen Tage!

We sliepen in een tent op stijgers in de bushbush met een uitgestrekt uitzicht over het gebied. ‘s Nachts hoorde je allerlei dierengeluiden. Werkelijk fantastisch! De gamedrives met onze ranger Jessie waren boven verwachting. In totaal 12 uur die geen minuut verveeld hebben. We hebben zelfs de big 5 gespot! Na de gamedrives in de ochtend schoven we aan voor het ontbijt op het terras, waarbij we zelfs een keer werden verrast met een bezoek van een olifant. Goedemorgen! Daarnaast zijn er twee zwembaden om in de middag even bij te relaxen en is er een gezellig kampvuur waar we s’avonds na onze gamedrive werden verwelkomd met een Amarula (Zuid-Afrikaanse drankje). Ook leuk dat er verschillende bezoekers waren van allerlei nationaliteiten om deze once in a life time ervaringen mee te delen.

Super geführtes Camp. Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sch?ne Aussicht aufs Reservat. Bei uns kamen Elefanten, Wasserbock, Affen und Nasserschweine ans Wasserloch unter dem Restaurant. Rob unser Ranger war absolut Top. Immer gut gelaunt und notiviert, total begeistert von seinem Reservat. Als gewiefter F?hrtenleser findet er all seine Tiere und er bringt sein Wissen sehr gut unter seine G?ste Essen und Getr?nke sehr gut. Natürlich werden die Zelte tagsüber zu heiss um sich in ihren tagsüber aufzuhalten

Twee dagen op het Woodbury tented camp maakte onze Afrika experience hélemaal compleet. Twee keer per dag, om 5:30u en 16:00 uur, drie uur op safari. Tussendoor heb je vanaf het zwembad zicht op de savanne. Drie keer per dag wordt er heerlijk eten verzorgd aan lange tafwls. Het personeel weet wat gastvrijheid is. Aan de kleinste details wordt aandacht besteed. De bedden in de tent slapen héérlijk. De sterrenhemel is de mooiste die ik ooit heb gezien!
