New and clean with good service team. But no breakfast, no pool, no gym. Nothing.

The hotel’s location in Bukit Bintang is excellent — walking distance to lots of shops, restaurants, and attractions like Pavilion KL and Jalan Alor, which made exploring the city super easy. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a good choice for both leisure and business travellers looking for a central base in Kuala Lumpur.

Renovation was not completed but was opened with just the lobby and rooms. There are no other amenities, even though they advertise they have a pool, restaurants, etc. I wouldn't have booked the hotel if I knew.
Everything is new in the room, but the windows are frosted and cannot be opened, so no view. Some towels still have lint (new & never washed), but I had one towel with a stain that looked like blood (see photo).
The security guard is lazy, reluctant to move the barriers to let my e-hailing car in, and refused to open the exit, so we have to reverse to exit the hotel.
It is a disappointing four nights stay. I would never booked the Federal Hotel again, as there are several much better hotels nearby.

We stayed in this hotel in 2005 also. We loved that time so, booked again. Stayed in another hotels in KL several times. But this is the best located in the town. The service of the hotel is excellent. Breakfast is nice. The hotel is in the midst of the bustling Bukit Bintang. One can find everything around the hotel. Be it a restaurant, music cafes, 7/11 or shopping center. The revolving restaurant at the top will give one an enchanting view of KL with glaring Twin Tower and KL Tower. We booked Superior Rooms. Since we wanted front view of the hotel, the Manager upgraded our room to Deluxe Room with condition that we have to endure noise outside and cannot complain to change. We agreed but did not feel disturbed.

Nice big hotel at the ideal location of Bukit Bintang. Everything is reachable on walking distance with nice view from room. The room look small at the price i have paid and little old as well. But bed was comfortable and air conditioning was also good. Room and hotel was really neat and clean. Water bottles, tea maker, safety box, bathtub and other necessary things are available in the room. The hotel have big pool along with the restaurant, also have massage parlor, live music, rooftop restaurant. The staff was nice and quick in checkin and out process. Will stay here again because of the ideal location.

First time trip to KL we took flight so it’s not Corus Hotel but we choose to be near to Pavilion & Berjaya Times Sq plus the Bukit Bintang Train station... it’s took little longer to get cab or grab coz of it’s traffic location... loves our hotel stay here coz it’s 2 double beds & convenient to Plaza Yow Yat.. Across the road there’s kambing golek (bbq lamb) in front of Travelodge Hotel.

A spacious (Merdeka Wing), hygine, friendly hotel. Good location in Bukit Bintang and just a walking distance to the food paradise - Jalan Alor, Pubs in Changkat Bukit Bintang, shopping area in Bukit Bintang such as Sungai Wang, Lot 10, Pavillion and Bukit Bintang monorail station. Nice chicken rendang for breakfast in the hotel and such a good bread of choices too.

1st time at the Federal Hotel and it won't be my last. This hotel is now my favorite in Bukit Bintang area of Kuala Lumpur. Front office staff are so welcoming especially a girl called Ella. She is so friendly and professional and always said hello to me when walking past front office desk. The room was great room #1010 huge room and bathroom and comfortable bedding. Great view of Low Yat Plaza Berjaya Time Square shopping centre and the Pavillion. Kontiki restaurant put on one of the best buffet meals I have ever eaten, maybe because of Ramadan. So beautiful hotel and staff awesome location can't wait to return
