  • Guest：Visited our family locally and we stayed here for the weekend. Great location for day trips into Keswick and the Lakes. Very clean, tidy and comfortable guest house. The staff were fabulous and we will stay again.
  • Guest：If ever you wanted a beautiful, stately English Guest House with welcoming hostess, this would be it. Set overlooking Whitehaven in an exclusive area, this gorgeous House had large, elegant rooms with comfortable beds, providing everything a traveller could want. The view from our room was of beautiful trees and a mature garden. A separate lounge room with comfortable lounges, lounge chairs, a TV, and a small fridge was available for the guests. English breakfast was in a separate, stately dining room and was more than you could eat ! Wish we could have stayed longer.
  • Guest：We stayed for a couple of nights and had a great room nr 5 in the attic, very spacious, lovely en-suite bathroom with shower, and great views over the coast. Room very clean with plenty of drawers and hanging space. Breakfast was filling and set you up for the day. Free parking in the front driveway and only a few minutes drive from the town.
  • Guest：Magnificent building, equally wonderful hosts, so highly recommended. You will not get better than this anywhere else. I came with a painful medical problem and cannot lie down, so the first night I slept sitting upright on a large comfortable fabric sofa in their lounge. Hearing I had slept well, Joanna, with a part time helper somehow manhandled a sofa chair to my room for me. What a wonderful, sensitive thing to do. How they managed it beggars belief because the chair is very large and extremely heavy. Not only that, the last few steps up to my room were obstructed and it must have been very, very tough to manoeuvre the chair through there. Had two strong men managed this, I would have been impressed, but two women, not only amazing but ever so kind. See picture of chair below.
