So disappointing. We don’t have an issue with old or worn out but for a ￡135.00 a night, you would hope someone would have run a hoover over the remains of the carpet and a cloth round the bathroom. Didn’t use shower and really didn’t want to use toilet due to its condition. It was really quite unpleasant. On the plus side, convenient for the beach and parking.

Oldly worldly quirky and comfortable. Not to beat I’ve stayed in but certainly not the worst, the best breakfast I’ve had in and B&B by far, comfy beds, comfy pillows, great linen, a place to get a great nights sleep. Would recommend if you’re not a serial moaner. Staff are friendly and we had everything we needed. Two mins walk into the town and all amenities. The lovely old listed building could do with some work but that didn’t change a great nights sleep and amazing breakfast.

Lovely little B&B that is close to the harbour and everything that West Bay has to offer. Friendly welcome, excellent cooked breakfast and comfy beds. We had two rooms on the first floor - rooms 1 and 2, which suited us perfectly, if you don't mind sharing a bathroom (for Rm 1 only). Rooms are looking a bit tired, but its an old building and there's a quirkiness about it. Bathrooms are huge, which is a plus. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

We stayed for one night while walking the coast path. It is well located for the coast path. Wasn’t quite sure what to expect, it was quite boho and a bit scruffy downstairs and on the outside. The welcome was warm, the room was newly decorated, clean and comfortable with a good selection of tea and coffee. It was great to be able to get a drink in the bar. Breakfast was good, staff were friendly. Thought the ￡135 price tag was a bit steep for what it was.

While the breakfast was delicious the room was very poor & didn’t warrant ￡135.00 for room 8 even with parking. It was very small & the shower was cold. The bar wasn’t open as the bar man was sick but this wasn’t mentioned when we checked in. Not sure it had been decorated since the last time we stayed here & that was 20 odd years ago

We booked really last minute (on the day of check-in) and were lucky to get a room as it was Bridport Carnival that weekend. The location is brilliant and there is a small, free car park. The bar downstairs serves very reasonably priced drinks. It's just a few minutes walk to the harbour and beach. We stayed in room 1 with shared a bathroom, although we had a basin in the corner of the room for brushing teeth which was really useful. The bathroom was just a few steps away and there were bathrobes provided if you needed them. The bathroom was huge, and was always immaculately clean. I think I was the first person to use the shower in the morning, and it was a great shower. The only improvement which would have made our stay better was the mattress was too soft and everytime one of us moved, the other person moved too, so I didn't sleep very well. The breakfast in the morning was really tasty and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Comfortable beds, good breakfasts. 5 minute walk to beach. Quirky little bar downstairs open occasionally! Room was clean. Slept well, very quiet but still near to cafes, harbour, sea. Pre-ordering breakfast a good idea and the food was well cooked and plentiful.

My room was comfortable and quiet. I had a room with bathroom and toilet; however, the communal bathrooms seemed very clean and moder, The hosts are wonderful and the breakfast is excellent. Free onsite parking and the location of the guest house is great, just a short walk to the small harbour and pubs and restaurants.

We have stayed at The Durbeyfield previously but forgot to leave a review last time. The location is fantastic, very centrally located with everything West Bay has to offer no more than a 5 minute walk away. It also offers parking which is a major plus point. The room was very nice, with plenty of space and a comfy bed - be prepared for a chorus of seagulls serenading you from early morning though! The breakfast was lovely, very generous. The Durbeyfield operates a 'tick box' list for breakfast with lots of options so you can choose wisely and set yourself up for the day. It was well cooked and very tasty, the bacon in particular was just on the right side of crispy, easily on of the nicest breakfasts I've had for some time. Friendly owner and a very reasonable tariff with a good variety of rooms to suit all budgets. Highly recommended and I will certainly be staying here again.

Had a 2 day break at this amazing and quaint guest house. In a great location only a few yards from the amazing beach, it offers a lovely cooked breakfast included as well as parking. The staff were really friendly, the rooms are quirky and very clean, and even bought a watercolour painting they had there on sale. We hope to return for another visit soon. Thankyou.
