Beautiful property close to town, we loved our stay.

Beautiful
This property is so unique and just lovely. Nothing has been spared in their attention to detail. The decor is a combination of modern and mountain rustic and everywhere you look there is something new to take in. The bathroom in the master suite is gorgeous, the basement bedroom isn’t “basementy” at all and is just as beautifully designed as the rest of the house, and the kitchen is a joy to cook in. My kids (and us adults) enjoyed using the hot tub in the woods. The thing I loved the very most is that the cabins are beautifully scented. This special property is only a couple minutes to town, but feels like a million miles away. Don’t hesitate to rent this special spot!!

Quite Rustic Cabin
This cabin is the cutest place I have ever stayed in! The aesthetic and decor of it is beyond words! We came up for a girls weekend and had the best time. The location gives a secluded feel while also still being close by to town. We loved the place so much we ended up cooking in two nights out of our three night stay.
I also couldn't rave enough about the host. She was always quick to answer and so kind to any questions or requests he had. If we end up in Highlands again we will for sure be booking here again!

Maybe the perfect cabin...
These two connected cabins are perfect for a couple's escape or a family retreat. You're nestled away in a very private setting, but only a stone's throw away from downtown and/or waterfalls and hikes. The cabins are the perfect blend of rustic with modern amenities. The bathrooms and kitchen are modern and fresh, while the log structures and wood burning fireplaces are authentic log cabin. Decor has a personal touch. Whole bean coffee, music throughout and other touches make it feel like home. Owners are super responsive, easy to deal with and personable. We'll be back here for sure. Either with the kids or just us again.

Gilmer Lodge
Log cabins with high end appliances… what’s not to like! Beautiful decor inside and out. Luxurious bathrooms including rain showers and a full bathtub big enough for a 6 foot bear??. Hot tub and fire pit set in gorgeous natural setting made me wish I had booked this abode for additional time. Highly recommend this place!!!
