  • Guest：One of the highlights of our Sri Lanka visit was to enjoy a simple, but very nice set breakfast here, overlooking the paddy fields and the tree line to the jungle, with the Lion Rock in the distance. Listening to the peacocks and other interesting bird sounds. Relaxing, serene, simple, lovely, almost spectacular. The swimming pool was a big plus point too. The staff were very helpful, positive and pleasant. A short walk to a good choice of local restaurants and bars (eg Rasta Rant, Pradeep and the quirky Cool Place). Not this hotels fault, but it's a tad difficult to get a bottle of white wine in the restaurants - better to buy alcoholic drinks elsewhere before you go to Sigiriya? We did the 30 minute walk to/from the entrance to the Lion Walk but there may have been a quicker route? Not too difficult to walk, but a Tuk Tuk is definitely an option, especially on a hot day. We got to the Rock entrance at about 9.30am which was not bad timing as coach loads of school children were starting to arrive shortly after. Glad we decided to go at the first opportunity with the occasionally unpredictable weather, as it was misty and drizzly on other days - the 1200 steps are difficult / frightening enough as it is, without them being slippery! Overall though, warm memories of this place...and really good value for money.

  • Guest：Very nice hotel owned by a sri lankan family, amazing view on Lion Rock by the pool, very quiet place and the staff was so friendly with us. Breakfast include and a delicious welcome fresh juice. Don’t hesitate to book some nights there, perfect deal in Sigiriya !
