Amazing cottage, great communication, super clean and fresh bedding, well equipped kitchen and modern TV with Netflix. Would definitely recommend for hillwalking, exploring the area

My wife and i spent a week at this cottage and used as a base of operations for day trips around the highlands. its locations is great with Balmoral castle being a short drive away. the surrounding area is, as you would expect, spectacular and its location is ideally within the Cairngorms to set out daily and explore the amazing Scottish highland scenery. We were met by the host on arrival who was very friendly and offered advise on not only the cottage but the local area very polite and friendly. The cottage was clean tidy and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay, a nice seating area outside to relax with a morning cup off tea and a piece (or 2) of walkers shortbread (Abelour is only an hour and a half away) to set you up for the day ahead, Ballater is a very charming town with friendly people and plenty of places to eat and drink. Local amenities are only a few minutes walk from the cottage. Overall a wonderful cottage in an amazing area with lots to see and do whether you are into walking, cycling, fishing, golfing or just exploring the site of beautiful Scotland, where every corner you turn is a picture postcard. I would highly recommend this holiday cottage if you and your partner plan to visit this area.

This is a lovely compact cottage that stylishly delivers a home from home whilst exploring Ballater and surrounding area, great base to walk to local shops and restaurants as well as a great base to take in beautiful walks and drives around the surrounding area. Property is extremely clean and comfortable and well equipped for everything you need during your stay - really would highly recommend this property for single traveller or a couple. We were originally booked for one night but extended out stay to enjoy a further night - we will be back
