Colazione sufficiente. Personale gentile, si possono lasciare i bagagli durante la visita a Macchiu P. Albergo comodo nell'infernale Aguas Calientes.
I have mixed reviews for this hotel. Pro: Casa de Luz is located near the train station and where the line for the bus to Machu Picchu is. It is near lots of restaurants and shops. The lobby has a/c, bathrooms & wifi. You can purchase cold water from the restaurant next door. There is an elevator if you need to use one and breakfast starts early. The bathroom in the hotel room had little packets of shampoo which most hotels don't carry anymore. Con: My room (Room 206) had no real window for air (there were 2 tiny windows that looked into the hollow center of the hotel and a pipe), nor could I find a vent for the a/c. The room was so stuffy that I had weird dreams when I could fall asleep. The hotel breakfast didn’t offer made to order eggs, only premade scrambled eggs. They offered cold banana pancakes, a yummy chocolate torte and the normal continental breakfast items. The front desk will ask a time slot that you want breakfast. The dining area is small but has a nice view of the mountains and stream.
Perfect for a quick stay
The staff were very helpful, the room was clean, spacious and had a great view of the river & the surrounding mountains. Ideal if you are spending the night for Machu Picchu
We loved this hotel. It was right on the main street where they line up for the bus to Machu Picchu. We had a room on the 4th floor and it was not loud in the morning at all. We loved hearing the river run and that was a soothing sound to us. Piero at the front desk was a gentlemen and can help you out with any questions or issues that may arise, he was always the first person we asked for anything and he would get you the answer or solution
