The food at the restaurant was amazing. The room was clean and spacious.

The rooms met the old-world charm expected of a hotel of its age. The food and staff were both fantastic & welcoming, with the added advantage of booking meals & drinks to my room. Recommended as the place to stay in Wanganui.

Great room in historic hotel, close to cbd, good dining room

A beautifully decorated, clean room and very helpful staff. The water pressure in the shower was very low. But besides that we had a great time!

The stay was good and very enjoyable
The only downside was very loud music being played somewhere near the Rutland Arms late at night.
I rang reception at 12.00 (midnight) but got no answer.
I felt very frustrated by this!

Rooms are very spacious and extremely well decorated. No lift but the barman assisted us with luggage. The room attendant is 75 but she is an absolute gem and very thorough with the room makeup. Bar downstairs is not noisy and has great food BUT I didn’t like the vanilla rice pudding.

We were very happy with room but I think they need a bit more modernisation in bathrooms.
Hey they are still great how they are but could be flasher.

Love the rooms at the Rutland Inn, the restaurant and bar were closed for renovation this time but alternative options were suggested
