This is the best resort I've ever stayed in. Best view, best room, best staff, super humble. Everything is just perfect! The room is super comfortable, and the staff even decorated the room for my wife's birthday lime that's so sweet of them?? I'll surely be back in the future!

We are blessed to be enjoying the true nature of Bali in the incredible Akohara Buahan Village Retreat. Located amidst the Balinese jungle, Akohara is the definition of luxury and well-being. The wonderful staff are a testament to 5 star service and their gentle, caring, joyous nature is infectious. The architecture, design and ambience of the resort is incomparable; add the delicious food and drinks and it has made for an unforgettable stay. Thank you Made, Dewa and the whole Akohara family for making us so welcome. The mantra "Nature is our Tradition, Tradition is our Nature" is apparent every day. We will definitely be back. Suksma

Excellent hotel. Very friendly staff who always try to please. Excellent service, nice rooms with a great pool. Delicious food. The only downside is the small gym and lack of necessary exercise machines. It is especially nice to come back in the evening, after traveling or noisy Ubud to this quiet place.

A wonderful experience. It started with Akohara being totally understanding when our flight was cancelled due to volcanic activity. They allowed us to check in a day later and made sure we could still stay for our planned nights. Our flight was then delayed an hour but our Akohara driver still waited. We then didn’t get to the retreat till very late but they kept the kitchen open just for us. We were served dinner at 11pm. It was most welcome. The retreat itself is so beautiful. So relaxing. Set in a rainforest valley, overlooking magnificent palms and greenery. Our villa was amazing. Such a beautiful outlook from our private plunge pool. We have loved every meal. It is all so tasty and healthy!! The staff have been amazing. They are so friendly and helpful. Everyone has gone out of their way to make sure that everything is perfect. They are all multi-skilled. (Everyone knows how to make a great coffee!!). Absolutely recommended.

Heerlijke, ruime comfortabele hotelvilla's in mooie omgeving. Gelegen op ongeveer een half uur buiten Ubud. Privé-zwembad met volledige privacy en heerlijk uitzicht. Topklasse restaurant en fantastische service door vriendelijk personeel. Laat niets te wensen over. Van harte aanbevolen!

Akohara Bauhan Retreat near Ubud is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure a perfect stay—helpful, attentive, and always welcoming. The on-site restaurant is exceptional, serving some of the best food I’ve had in Bali, with fresh, flavorful dishes that make every meal a delight. The suites are truly five-star, offering luxurious comfort and breathtaking views of the surrounding nature. Waking up to such a serene and stunning landscape was an unforgettable experience. This retreat is the perfect escape for relaxation and rejuvenation. I can’t wait to return soon! Highly recommended. Anil

We came for honeymoon and the welcoming was really nice. There were some details in our room. The villa very nice and clean. The staff was very polite and the food so tasty. We are very have good experience. Thank akohara we will back again with familly or friends
