Mooie locatie met een prachtig uitzicht. Helaas hadden wij een beetje de pech dat er een vierdaagse bruiloft was geweest toen wij aankwamen en stond alles op z’n kop. Alberto is de eigenaar, aardige man die alles prima vindt. Gezellig om mee te kletsen. Het zwembad was helaas ook niet bijgehouden dus we konden niet zwemmen ivm algen. Maarrrr t uitzicht is fantastisch dus je ligt er wel heerlijk. Houdt er wel rekening we dat je er naast een ontbijt niks kan krijgen gedurende de dag.

Ich kann es jedem nur empfehlen. Alberto, der Eigentümer ist so eine gute Seele,…, Danke für alles. Er wusste immer einen GUTEN RAT,… hatte viele Vorschl?ge in und um Verona,….Wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder. Es passte einfach alles um vom Alltag herunterzufahren.

Struttura e posizione bellissime, ben curata e arricchita di dettagli in stile romano.
Servizi scadenti e poco attenti, camere semplici ma coerenti con la struttura quindi piacevoli.

The Desler. Sort of an odd experience on a number of levels. An interesting building, with some lovely features, like a very nice place to eat breakfast overlooking its own olive orchard. The rooms were fine, if a bit strangely lit, and lacking amenities other than body wash (no shampoo or lotion, etc). The property is far enough out from the center of Verona that you either need to drive or get a cab, and there is very little immediately around it.
The service, though well-meaning, was sort of strange. The breakfast buffet was pleasant enough, with coffee drinks available upon request but no cooked options from a kitchen, and then a 30 Euro charge for breakfast that was not expected, regardless of what you consumed (I had two cappuccinos...).
The place feels like a property that has had a lot of work done to it, and that has been opened for customers a little bit before all the wrinkles have been ironed out.

What a wonderful hotel this is! An ancient Roman villa converted into a modern day hotel that retains the look and feel of the original but with all the amenities one requires, including air conditioning and WiFi. The rooms are beautifully appointed - tasteful and comfortable, excellent beds that assure you sound sleep. The breakfast is generous, with fresh fruit, wonderful bread and jam, strudels and cereals, and eggs. If you wish, the kitchen can provide delicious lunches and dinners - home style, absolutely perfect. The grounds are impressive, beautifully landscaped. There’s free parking for those with cars - we were grateful for that given the difficulty we had with parking our rental car in the cities and towns we visited before Verona. Alberto and his family run a wonderful place with charm and hospitality, and great conversation! We will definitely return to this lovely place.
