  • Guest user：Marvelous place to stay near safe sea.best place to see many varieties of coral reef fish .very friendly staff.delicious food ,specialy Pitza made with cinnamon wood.many nearby places to visit .one of them is 2-3hrs boat ride in Kalamatiya bird sanctuary .hope to visit again innear future .
  • Guest user：This is our second trip to Tangalle Rest House since it’s been refurbished and its well worth the price. The rooms are clean and have a view of the beach across the road. There is great wood fired pizza downstairs and the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast package is wholesome (red rice, string hoppers; freshly baked bread, pol sambol, fish curry, dhal and ‘kiri hodi’ with fresh juice, tea/coffee). We enjoy the beach across the road as it’s safe (lifeguard on duty) and swimmable. The beach can get quite busy on the weekends but is great for early morning swims, when there is virtually no one.
  • Guest user：We stopped by to have lunch on our way to Yala. While we have not had resthouse food for a number of years, we thought we would give it a try. The General Manager was very polite and spoke good english and warmly greeted us. The serving staff working there have been there for over 40 years. They wait for visitor us to take care. We ordered simple rice and curry with Fish. To our surprise we had like 7-8 dishes of various vegetables and karola, Chilli fried, lunu dehi which we all loved. The food was excellent. The toilets were clean and well kept so is the restaurant. If you are craving for resthouse food this is a place to visit.
