We stayed at Carimar for the first part of our stay in Anguilla to celebrate my 40th Birthday. We booked a Beach Front room and ended up in one of the upper units, the view is absolutely beautiful. You are just steps away from the water! They also put your name on your beach chairs during the duration of your stay which I really loved so you didn't have to worry about getting a spot. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the kitchen is well stocked with about anything you may need during your stay. There is a Best Buy, which is a grocery store, right around the corner so you can stock up on groceries. Meads Bay is a beautiful beach and Carimar is a great location! It is close to several restaurant options. Rolf and Lockhart, the manager and assistant manager were both wonderful and accommodating. If you are thinking about visiting Anguilla, do it! The people are truly amazing and the beaches are beautiful!

Io e mia moglie siamo stati al Carimar Beach Club di Meads Bay l'ultima settimana di giugno, era il sogno della nostra vita andare ad Anguilla e stare su quella spiaggia bianca e finalmente quest'anno ci siamo riusciti! Location ottima sulla spiaggia di Meads Bay, meglio questa parte finale che verso l'inizio dove si trovano altri hotels ma lì è più ventoso ed il mare più mosso, qui invece è stupendo ed il mare calmo e bellissimo. L'appartamento che ci è stato assegnato era al piano terra, tre gradini ed eravamo sulla spiaggia a dieci metri dal mare, ombrellone accanto alla veranda con due sdraio, in seconda fila purtroppo ma la prima non era proprio davanti a noi ad ostruire il tutto. Forse chi prende una camera beach front e paga di più dovrebbe avere diritto ad un ombrellone in prima fila ma sembra che la logica non sia questa....l'appartamento era composto da una stanza lato mare (si sentivano le onde di notte, bellissimo), un bagno ed un salone lungo. Ad inizio corridoio si trovavano un'altra stanza matrimoniale e bagno, chiuse a chiave in quanto noi avevamo prenotato per una coppia e quindi il resto risultava inagibile (giustamente). Reception non propriamente simpaticissima, (forse perché non eravamo americani ma europei?) pulizie non perfette ma comunque accettabili, cucina fornita di tutto e possibilità di farsi portare le provviste al momento dell'arrivo ( a pagamento ovviamente). Qualche locale bar ristorante nelle vicinanze, per poter mangiare soprattutto di sera, ma se avete un auto sarete più indipendenti. Ma andare ad Anguilla lo si fa soprattutto per la stupenda spiaggia ed il mare incredibile, avevamo una razza proprio davanti a casa che vedevamo praticamente ogni giorno, mare trasparente e calmo, una vista spettacolare. Se il viaggio dall'Italia non fosse così lungo ed il costo così elevato sarebbe da andarci ogni anno!! Grazie Carimar per la bellissima vacanza fatta.

Another great trip. It was actually alot cooler and less humid and breezier than at home. This was our first trip in the summer and we will do it again. We actually would like to stay longer next time because its more pleasant than at home. But, we don't think we want to stay for Carnival. Too much for us. Great for those who like to party. We just want to relax. The island slows down a bit in the summer and hotels and restaurants are on the empty side.....BUT Carimar was almost full! They are doing some great renovations on the resort and upgrading even more. We still love having the ability to cook meals in our own kitchen because of the VAT (govt tax on meals) but we did still go out to some great more local spots, which was great.

Carimar Beach Club exceeded our expectations and made for a wonderful family vacation. The 2 bedroom, 2 bath accommodations were perfect for a family of 4. We enjoyed having a kitchen, living room, and dining area. The porch area was secluded with beautiful landscaping. Although we were in one of the furthest units from the beach, it was still just a few steps away from our private beach chairs. There is nothing like waking up, pouring a cup of coffee, and commuting about 50 steps to a world-class beach. In the morning, we practically had Meads Bay to ourselves and very rarely did we see more than a dozen others on the beach. The staff at Carimar thought of everything! They provide beach towels, snorkeling gear, and whatever you need. Forgot sun screen or Aloe? No problem, go check out their selection at the front desk. We are not avid swimmers, but a few days at the Carimar on Meads Bay changed that! We explored all around, finding all kinds of sea life, fish, and even an octopus! Gentle sting rays swim right past you in the crystal clear water. What a perfect location. Next to the Carimar are a host of excellent restaurants. And if you don't feel like sitting at a restaurant (or putting on shoes), no problem! Check out Blanchard's Beach Shack, literally next door. The staff at the Carimar take care of everything. Even before you arrive, make sure to call or email them any requests. Having bottled water and a few other essentials already stocked in our fridge was wonderful, and Carimar also took care of helping us make reservations for horse back riding and a boat tour with Gotcha Garfield. They even coordinated a rental car for us, which was waiting for us upon arrival. We will definitely be back to Carimar. Please just don't tell too many people about this wonderful secret!

However, if you seek the most affordable prices for wonderful accommodations and close access to the beautiful Meads Bay, then Carimar is your destination. The front desk ladies will be happy to assist with anything you need, whether it’s making a dinner reservation, getting a car rental, ordering pastries for the next morning’s breakfast, scheduling a taxi, stocking your room with groceries prior to your arrival, reserving a fairy at the boat terminal, having an airport pickup/drop-off, and so much more. Just ask, and they will be happy to help you! This year’s 12-night vacation was just what my wife and I needed! When we stay at Carimar we never want our summer vacation to end! Carimar never disappoints, in fact it gets better every year. The grounds are lovely, the villas are spotless and well maintained and every possible thing you could want has been thought of and provided, even snorkel equipment and bikes and also umbrellas and chairs that you can take to other beaches. Few US resorts provide this level of comfort and service these days. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Carimar is on the best part of Mead's Bay, which is already one of the best beaches in Anguilla, the water is sparkling, the sand is soft and you always have an umbrella and chairs! This is a place where you can truly relax. After you have been once you understand why almost everyone you meet there says that they come back year after year. A large, well stocked grocery is close by for driving and many excellent restaurants are close by. Truly a gem of a resort.

When you first arrive on the grounds of Carimar; it is a tropical paradise. The nice ladies in the office Cindy Williams, Avon, Hermia, and both Lavernes are eager to greet and help you with any questions or concerns. Both my wife and I have glaucoma and our medications had to be refrigerated before our room was ready: No problem. The one bedroom, second floor condo was very clean, spacious and had a great view of the grounds & Meads Bay. Room service is provided everyday and we had beach chairs with our names on them. Our condo had a full kitchen, living room and dining room with master bedroom/balcony. I have asthma, and am highly allergic to tobacco smoke. This is why I chose Carimar's SMOKE FREE PROPERTY over the condo-plex called Turtles Nest. Turtles nest allows guests to smoke on the balcony; it is only a matter of time before that condo becomes a smoking condo--short trip from the balcony to the main rooms. I did encounter one middle-aged lady and her daughter who were visiting from Germany who smoked. After 5 to 6 cigarettes, I could not take it anymore and I asked her to stop; she did. This was the only negative aspect of Carimar. The Carimar has a cocktail party on Thursday nights; nice , friendly get together/meet greet. Gives you a chance to see people from all over the world and different walks of life. Carimar is also very close to different restaurants on the island. Nice Time On The Island

As soon as we arrived at Carimar Beach Resort we knew we had made the right choice in accommodations. The grounds and spacious unit met and exceeded our expectations. The pictures we saw on the internet when choosing this resort were very accurate. The unit comes equipped with EVERYTHING! The kitchen includes coffee, creamer and spices. Just add your own groceries. The local grocery store is a quick 15 minute walk. The air conditioning was powerful and quiet. Our king bed was very comfortable. The water view from our unit was somewhat obscured but we loved the privacy of our balcony. Housekeeping took good care of us daily and the front desk arranged a car rental for us. Meads Bay is lovely and having our own chairs and umbrellas was a great extra. We would definitely return to Anguilla and The Carimar Beach Resort again.

Ottimo e splendido appartamento, 2 camere da letto con relativo bagno, cucina ben fornita, living room. Aria condizionata ovunque e pale al soffitto. Salottino esterno davanti e dietro. A richiesta danno il BBQ. Possibilità di avere la prima colazione. Equipaggiato con spray antizanzare. Asciugamani per la spiaggia. Cassaforte, asse da stiro. Lettini e ombrelloni riservati nella favolosa spiaggia, la piu' bella dell'isola. Forniscono materiale per snorkelling, biciclette, laundry e gym.Pulizie giornaliere. Il manager è sensazionale e super disponibile. Complimenti davvero
