The hotel is gorgeous but there were a few glaring and fixable issues that you wouldn't expect at a 5 star: 1) The kids pool was inexplicably closed 2) The main pool was unheated and freezing. Very few guests used it as a result and it just isnt acceptable for a 5 star hotel to have such a cold pool (and I like cold water swimming). 3) The kids club was quite good but was a bit understaffed, the play area could be improved 4) The food was ok but there was a real lack of vegetable / salad options, particularly for the kids, and the prices were gratuitous. Bambolo was also understaffed/quite slow at times. A few points were amazing - the valet was incredible. They took our bags from our room and packed our hire car with the bags when we were checking out. It would have been a 3 star review were it not for this - incredible service.

Resort a 5 stelle, personale impeccabile, ristoranti di alto livello, camere molto spaziose, pulite e arredate con gusto. La colazione di altissimo livello con tante scelte. Tutto contornato da una struttura in pieno stile andaluso ????

El dise?o del hotel es excepcional. Todos los rincones dise?ados con un gusto exquisito. El restaurante principal no está al nivel del resto. Sorprendentemente el servicio de habitaciones entró estando nosotros dormidos para ofrecernos agua.....

Fue una experiencia única desde nuestra llegada. El equipo humano de recepción muy profesional, al igual que en los restaurantes Bamboleo y Palmito, donde Sandra nos atendió con mucha empatía y profesionalidad. Volveremos a ese oasis andaluz. Gracias.

Très bel h?tel, agréable et propre . Personne serviable et gentil . En revanche attention pour les familles, les chambres sont non communicantes. Très moyen avec 2 enfants en bas age. Nous avons utilisé une seule chambre et payé pour 2… Attention également aux petits grignotages disposés sur le mini bar: cela para?t évident que ce soit mise à disposition gracieusement, mais pas du tout! 84 euros de mini bar pour 3 cacahouètes et amandes ?a s’appelle de l’abus!

Die Lage des Hotels wirkt auf den ersten Blick etwas abgelegen, was jedoch einen besonderen Charme hat. Man h?rt keine Sirenen oder Stadtl?rm. Das Hotel liegt leicht in den Bergen, man hat jedoch mit dem Auto eine kurze Fahrt zum n?chsten Supermarkt oder zum Strand. Der Parkplatz ist kostenlos und einfach befahrbar und es besteht die M?glichkeit, dass man direkt vor den Eingang f?hrt. Dort wird man von mindestens einem Mitarbeiter erwartet, der direkt mit dem Gep?ck hilft und einen zum Empfang führt. Auch dort wurden wir herzlich begrü?t. Uns wurde ein Upgrade auf eine Juniorsuite angeboten, damit w?re der Wellnessbereich inklusive. Dies haben wir dankend abgelehnt, da wir nicht unbedingt die Wellnesstypen sind. Anschlie?end wurden wir mit unserem Gep?ck zum Zimmer gebracht. Das Zimmer befindet sich im 3. Stock mit Blick auf die Berge und auf den Wellnessbereich. Der Raum war mit s?mtlichen Sachen ausgestattet, die den Comfort des Hotels unterzeichnen; demnach erhielten wir einen Obstteller, eine Flasche Wasser und im weiteren Verlauf ein Begrü?ungsgetr?nk an der Poolbar. Im Badezimmer sind zwei Waschbecken, ein WC sowie eine gro?e Dusche mit ordentlichem Wasserdruck. Das Bett ist ein Kingsize Bett mit zwei Zierkissen und zwei Kissen zum Schlafen. Die Bettdecke ist entsprechend gro?. Der Balkon beherbergt zwei bequeme Stühle mit Auflagen und einen Tisch. Die Gr??e des Balkons lie? ebenfalls nicht zu Wünschen übrig. Dies gilt auch für die Gr??e des Zimmers. Im Verlauf unseres Aufenthaltes, besuchten wir mehrere Male einen der zwei bzw. drei Au?enpools, wovon jedoch einer gesperrt war. Der Poolbereich ist mit etlichen Liegen, Tischen und Handtüchern ausgestattet. Dort besteht auch die M?glichkeit, von der Poolbar bedient zu werden. Dort gab es alle m?glichen Getr?nke und Gerichte. Insbesondere die Pizzen, der Mick Jagger Burger sowie das Clubsandwich waren k?stlich. Die rote Sangria war ebenfalls ein Traum. Der einzige Nachteil des Poolbereiches ist die Anzahl der vorhandenen Kinder. Dafür kann das Hotel absolut gar nichts, mich hat es jedoch extrem genervt. Wahrscheinlich verteilt sich das auch mehr, wenn alle Pools ge?ffnet sind. M?glicherweise k?nnte man dann auch einen kinderfreien Bereich einrichten. Ich würde es begrü?en. Worauf man jedoch etwas mehr achten k?nnte, ist, dass die ?Keine-Kinder-Unter-Zw?lf-Im-Pool“-Regel auch von den Mitarbeitenden durchgesetzt wird. Die Mitarbeitenden sind alle in einem ?hnlichen Farbton (braun, beige, wei?, hellgrün) gekleidet, was das Ambiente des gesamten Hotels noch zus?tzlich untermalt. Allgemein befinden sich in diesem Hotel viele Gems, in Form von Sitzecken, Brunnen und sch?ner Deko. Die Mitarbeitenden sind gr??tenteils der englischen Sprache m?chtig, was eine Kommunikation erleichtert, wenn man, so wie ich, nur teilweise spanisch spricht. Das Frühstücksbuffet war k?stlich und ?u?erst frisch. Insbesondere der riesige Tisch mit den petits fours hat mir zugesagt. Zus?tzlich zum Buffet er

Tolles Zimmer (Junior Suite Garden Terrasse) mit viel Platz, zwei Liegestühle und zwei Sessel auf der Terrasse. Zum Essen sind wir zwei Mal ins hoteleigene Palmito, sehr lecker, aber recht teuer. Die anderen Abende bei Zia Lola oder im El Golf, jeweils knapp 1km vom Hotel, super Restaurants mit üblichen Preisen.

El hotel es un verdadero oasis de lujo discreto y elegancia en Mijas. Los distintos outlets de comidas están muy bien. El servicio impecable, y una característica que me ha hecho apreciar lo importante de un aroma especial en todo el hotel. El servicio técnico de salones atento y resolutivo. Desayuno espectacular frente a una de las piscinas y un paisaje, en medio de dos campos de golf, súper relajante. Con ganas de volver de vacaciones

We stayed at La Zambra end of September and it has been the best experience I ever had. Amazing, modern, very clean, spacious rooms. The best bed ever (with a duvet, which I really appreciate). The airco is silent, which is a big plus. There is a turndown service. The food is very good. The breakfast has every you want and more. From fresh breads and pastries to all kinds of cold meats, cheeses, fruit, yoghurts, fresh pancakes, eggs, etc. You can order coffee's and tea's (no extra charge) and there are fresh juices and mimosa's (no extra charge). The gym has everything you need including an outside area for free training. The yoga session in the morning (no extra charge) is also lovely to join. (Make sure you make a reservation for this at the concierge.) We also booked a tennis lesson via concierge and the tennis teacher was very good and we learned a lot. The concierge service is very helpful and recommended us some really good restaurants nearby, and also helped us make a booking at the restaurants in the hotel for dinner. Service at the pool for drinks and lunch was very good and quality of food and drinks as well. There are enough sunbeds at the pool, which are very comfy. There is no reservering of sunbeds, which just allows people to come and go whenever they want. Highly recommend to stay here. 10/10. Also, the jasmin smell everywhere in the hotel just calms you down and brings you in the right holiday vibe.

What a fantastic hotel and resort. We were looking for a beach resort near Mijas, but (at least within our price range) we could not find one we liked and so went inland for the first time. The rooms are superb, massive bed, great balcony overlooking the pools, golf course and off to the hills. Only slight negative in the view is the number of apartments and villas being built, really starting to effect the view. Pools and gardens are fantastic. The architecture of the hotel is worth mentioning with lovely design touches and more than a passing nod to the Alhambra palace with fountains and courtyards. Location is good, with Marbella old town and Mijas Pueblo good options for dinner, but the immediate surrounding area is a bit industrial. Mijas Pueblo surprisingly quiet, at night at least in October. For day trips, Ronda and Malaga are both excellent and reachable. If you go to Ronda, stop off at Setenil de las Bodegas first, it's very interesting. We only ate once in the hotel and I'd have to say for the price, it was slightly disappointing (steak a bit tough), but the Flamenco dancing entertainment was excellent.
