Very nice hotel. Close to the center of town. Staff was very friendly, professional, and helpful. Shout out to Barbara who went above and beyond to help us. The room and amenities weee great. We had a very nice balcony with hammock and chairs on it. The breakfast was very good with many healthy choices. Two very nice pools. The third pool was in the spa building which I believe you had a pay to use that pool. Good cocktails. About a 15 minute walk to the coast line walking trail, which is amazing

One of the most recommended hotels in Lagos. Situated at the old city, all the eating places are walking distance up to the boardealk and view of the beaches and ocean. Staff are very friendly. They have a great restaurant with weekend entertainment. Exvellent selection of cocktails, wine and local cuisines. Very quiet. Nice botique style rooms complete with portuguese romantic music from the room speakers and welcome champagne as well.

Nous avons séjourné à la Casa Maé avec notre enfant de 2 ans, durant une semaine : Une parenthèse enchantée durant laquelle nous nous sommes mariés aux alentours. Le personnel nous a été d’une grande aide en nous donnant de nombreux conseils et certains contacts les mois précédents. Mais également d’une grande bienveillance durant tout le sejour, et tout pleins d’attention le jour J. La cabanas ? Padaria ? était splendide, rien ne manquait. Et L’h?tel somptueux, un véritable bijoux niché au c?ur de Lagos. C’était une semaine fabuleuse, encore merci pour tout. Nous repartons le c?ur rempli de merveilleux souvenirs ??

We stayed at Casa Mae for five nights, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We found the hotel to be immaculately clean throughout, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. All of the staff were welcoming, friendly and professional. The breakfasts were the highlight of our stay, with a fabulous menu offering a range of delicious healthy options and indulgent treats. I found choosing from a menu, as opposed to breakfasting from a buffet, helped to curb my natural inclination towards gluttony, and I greatly appreciated this! We stayed in one of cabanas in the gardens, it was spotlessly clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and furnished. Our cabana had a small private courtyard to the rear, which provided enough space for us to do our morning exercise session, this was a great plus for us. The hotel is well located, nestled on a quiet street adjacent to the ancient city walls that surround the town. But it’s just a few minutes walk into the centre of Lagos old town, where you’ll find all the bars, restaurants and shops. Our only gripe is the fact that there is an additional charge to use the hotel spa. Now this is not a cheap place to stay, so to expect guests to pay to use the spa seems a little unreasonable. Charging for beauty treatments and massages is expected, but we stayed in three other high-end hotels on our recent visit to Portugal, and Casa Mae was the only one which charged for use of the spa facilities. That said, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Mae, and would recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys comfort, beautiful design, and tranquility. A special mention to whoever compiles the ‘Casa Mae Hotel Playlist’ which plays on the Bluetooth speaker in the room, a great selection of chill-out tunes that soundtracked our stay!

Hotel was excellent. Staff was very friendly and the food was awesome. Special shout out to Ricardo “saki” - he has a unique ability to connect with people - he should be running the hotel! Also Manjot Singh (waiter and cook) - was a super guy! Def worth coming here since its close to the center of town and beaches aren’t far.

Can’t recommend this hotel enough. So tranquil and relaxed. We stayed in a cabana room, which was amazing - relaxing hammock, beautiful bath tub, smelt amazing, lovely madeleines left during turn down. Gardens are beautiful as well as the pool. Breakfast is so tasty, a la carte menu. Location is perfect, 2/3 min walk from restaurants, bars etc.

The Casa Mae in Lagos is an absolutely outstanding Hotel! Stepping inside the beautiful hotel property, you feel you are inside a beautiful exclusive estate. Beautiful design extends throughout the interiors and large exteriors of the stunning Hotel property. The interior design of this Hotel is superb. The absolutely incredible Management and Staff are professional, accommodating and brilliant. I enjoyed a beautiful, very spacious Cabana with large soaker tub, indoor shower, outdoor shower and outdoor seating area (perfect for morning coffee from the Nespresso machine). The Cabana was immaculate, complete with every amenity. The Hotel’s pool and pool lounge area are beautiful with poolside service. The farm to table restaurant is outstanding with fresh produce grown on the Hotel property and impeccable service, including excellent room service. The Hotel enjoys an excellent location in the old town of Lagos. I am so very grateful to have stayed here. I cannot recall enjoying a hotel/resort experience more anywhere with more beautiful accommodation and more excellent service. As the Casa Mae website states, this is "more than a hotel". If you are considering Lagos, stay here.

This is a stunning location and beautifully located with close proximity to the beach. The staff were excellent and the food delicious. It felt really special to see the oranges picked fresh as I walked around the property. Comfortable beds, lovely shower and a really nice hammock.

I am so happy we stayed at Casa Mae. The setting is idyllic and so peaceful and we felt right at home. We stayed in the estate building and loved our room, especially the bathroom with the soaking tub. The French doors overlooking the pool provided a perfect scene for some beautiful pictures to bring home. Loved the whitewashed walls and the interior design, both in the public spaces and the guest room. The meals are all very fresh and we had the chance to see fresh herbs being picked from the garden and brought to the kitchen. All of the staff were great and we loved everything about our time there. When visiting Lagos, there is no other place I'd rather stay!

This is a wonderful place to stay! The staff are amazing and cannot do enough for you. The food is delicious - a fabulous breakfast every morning. We also made use of the spa and had a restful and thoughtful Casa Mae Signature Treatment with Spa Circuit. Our stay in the Heritage Suite was spectacular and if we visit Lago again we would absolutely book again! The location is perfect for Lagos. We had a car and there is a very easy car park close to the hotel (which they will guide you to and bring your bags from the car park to the room!). We were greeted with a glass of wine during our check-in (after a long journey!) and the amazing level of service continued from there! Pool area is wonderful to just lounge, it's a perfect size with enough shady seating and delicious drinks and food to be had.
