Prettige kamer in karakteristiek gebouw. Vriendelijk personeel. Bed was wat zacht en we lagen een beetje in een kuil, maar dat was slechts een klein smetje op prima verblijf.

Although the hotel is old, rooms should be kept to a reasonable standard. The bed was not level at all with feet higher than the head. Upon inspection the bed was missing legs.

Really great location in the city center and easy access to UMCG and to central market and to Groningen Central Station.

Staff was very friendly and helpful when I needed help. This hotel is right in the mix of the market. So many shops to visit. Groningen is a beautiful college town with more bikes than i could have imagined...

The room was tiny and not at all as pictured. The shower only has a rain shower and no bath cloth is provided. Water pressure is non existent and because the ceilings are high the water temperature is never hot. No in room fridge. We requested another room but we’re not accommodating at all. Breakfast is not included. The hotel is very charming and fitting with the ambience and culture. Staff is courteous. Location made up for the inconveniences.

I spent two nights at the Doelen, my first time in Groningen, attracted by the reviews and the location. The choice proved an excellent one, the Doelen is an outstanding hotel with a traditional feel, excellent and friendly helpful service and a very pleasing ambience. I had a comfortable room overlooking the Grote Markt and two fine breakfasts. The location is perfect, right in the old centre of the city with everything close at hand. I cannot be enthusiastic enough about this hotel.

Leuk intiem hotel authentiek . Super vriendelijk personeel waar je je echt welkom voelt 0prachtige ruimte beneden met een grote open haard. Prima ontbijt waarbij de koffie en de jus aan je tafel werd gebracht . Hotel is midden in het bruisende Groningen . Een aanrader
