Not clean (bathroom had broken glass and missing a glass door in the shower). Room is in need of maintenance, not limited to paint, broken light(also glass) and smell of old sewer system. Staff is really friendly and try their best, but the owner really needs to invest a love in the place.

Personnel très gentil, le cadre de la maison très beau, par contre des travaux dans la rue et un peu de peinture à l'intérieur de la chambre. Le quartier sécurisant et très calme. La literie confortable. Mais on pourrait rafraichir le tuyau de douche ( dans la baignoire) et recoudre les rideau. Thé, café dans la chambre

Det er gammelt og utroligt charmerende.
Ja, standen kan godt v?re bedre nogle steder, men det vigtigste er, at den gamle, charmerende stil og bygningens historie bliver bevaret.
Det er netop denne charme, der giver en ekstra oplevelse i sig selv, n?r man bes?ger Gent. Og mange bes?ger netop Gent for historien.
Personalet er meget venlige og vil gerne g?re lidt ekstra for, at g?sten f?r en god oplevelse.
Dette er ikke et ligegyldigt hotel, man glemmer – det er et historisk hotel, man husker.

I did not feel that the website portrayed the facility as it is. It is an old facility with old furniture and bed, e.g. keys to the room were from the 1920's. Bathroom facilities were modern and quite satisfactory.

Een fijn verblijf gehad. Het hotel ligt op loopafstand van het centrum en het ontbijt was heel goed. We werden vriendelijk te woord gestaan.
Het hotel bevindt zich in een prachtig oud pand. Het pand heeft wel een opknapbeurt nodig.

Hotel is quaint, in a period building with high ceilings and creaky floorboard. Staff were helpful, parking in their garage convenient, and the neighbourhood was quiet. TV didnt work, nor the Bathroom light, but the receptionist fixed the latter and we didn't bother to mention the TV. Main negative was the very bad smell from the drains in the bathroom, and the lack of air con.

Das Charme Hotel Hancelot ist leider schon in die Jahre gekommen. Schade. Auch aus einem denkmalgeschützten Haus kann man den Charme der Vergangenheit wiederbeleben.
Das Frühstück ist ok.
Leider mussten wir unser Auto in einem nahegelegenen Parkhaus unterbringem. 10min zufu?.

Interesting character property that could probably do with a bit of a refresh. The room was a good size, with a comfortable bed. A couple of minor flaws, wiring was visible on the ceiling light, and the window frames had seen better days. I will probably stay elsewhere next time I am in Ghent.

Assolutamente negativo
In una giornata a 37 gradi veniamo sbattuti al terzo piano, sottotetto...senza aria condizionata...nemmeno un ventilatore...ne acqua fresca in in frigo...una notte terribile...dovrebbero risarcirci!!!
A nulla vale la buona colazione!!
Chiediamo un posto auto...naturalmente terminato e parcheggiamo a 2km...dopo enorme difficoltà per trovarlo..
Ha bisogno di un grande lavoro di rinnovo...se vogliono fare gli snob lo facciano con classe
