We stayed at this hotel to visit Wilpattu National Park. It is a small hotel, in a peaceful location. We could not fault the level of hospitality. We really liked the hotel rooms the high vaulted ceilings were lovely and having part of the bathroom exposed to outdoors was pretty cool. The hotel itself is located down quite a track so if you wanted to go to the local town you would definitely need them to call you a car or tuk tuk...which I am sure would be easy to obtain, we didn't use that service ourselves. The food whilst limited was good. My husband and I particularly enjoyed the Pumpkin Soup and Sri Lankan Prawn curry. I think they do need to pair back the pepper/spice level for children. It would be nice if they could expand the drinks selection, adults were limited to Lion Beer or Red Wine, having access to G&T or Vodka and Lemonade would have been nice.

Such a stunning location with far reaching views! Extremely peaceful . Very comfortable rooms with excellent food choice too and service was excellent! They really couldn’t do enough for me! The pool is also fabulous… very refreshing after a hot day exploring the local sacred city.

Subaseth Villa is amazing, deserving a top score of 10/10! This was my second visit after two years, and everything felt just as welcoming, clean, and peaceful as before, maybe even better. Last time, I missed out on experiencing village life, but this time I made sure to explore by asking for a bike. The staff went out of their way to get me one and set up a great bike tour, suggesting cool spots like the big tanks you see around here. It was a highlight of my trip! The local food here is yummy, and they also have different kinds of food if you want to try something new. The location is perfect, close to Wilpattu National Park and the ancient city of Anuradhapura, so you don't have to switch hotels to see both places. For someone like me who's used to city life, it's the best place to stay because it's like a mix of luxury and nature. Whenever I'm in this area, Subaseth Villa is where I'll be, and I recommend it to everyone!

A quiet place away from the city, yet not too far either, ideal to lodge if you plan to visit the ancient city. Rooms are very clean & well maintained, the best thing about the villa. Set menu, but whatever served was absolutely delicious, so limited variety was not at all a problem. Sri Lankan food was amazing! Nice calm surrounding, situated away from the main road. ( ride to the location was a bit bumpy:)) Eric and the rest of the staff was very friendly & supportive. Thank you for making our short stay a pleasant one!
