I had the most incredible birthday weekend at Hotel TANTALO in Panama! From start to finish, the experience was absolutely unforgettable. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay special—they are truly the most amazing people I’ve ever encountered in any hotel. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care made my birthday celebration extra memorable.

We were escorted to our room after we checked in to confirm there were no issues with our room. The Day Dreaming room was wonderful which had a balcony overlooking the street. It was a bit noisy with the bar below and the rooftop bar but that did not bother us. They do provide earplugs in the room but we did not need them.
The service, food and drinks were excellent.
There were many shops, restaurants and bars just steps away from the hotel. It is also near the cruise port for Norwegian.
This was an excellent pick for our overnight stay before our cruise.
Love this hotel! Located in the heart of Costa Viejo with restaurants and shops all around. The hotel offers fine dining on the first floor and also a rooftop bar with magnificent views of Panama City. Best of all is the spacious, decorative room with authentic artwork.Stunning, to say the least! There's even a balcony to sit and soak in the city. Highly recommend staying here.
Not what it once was but still amazing location
This was our second time here and 5 years ago was the first time. We were a little disappointed this time.
The hotel felt a but run down compared to what I was remembering and expecting.
Staff were great, and location and rooftop are amazing but the rooms and common areas felt like they needed small repairs or updates and that it had been neglected.
