Homestay is more than staying at the home of the hoist but being treated like a family member. Vinh is a strong and wonderful woman who runs the Hakuna Matata Homestay in Mai Chau. Before I came, she organized the transportation and arranged a two days tour for me. Everything was so well organized that I didn't have to worry about anything. The room is very spacious and clean. As a city person in Asia, I need not worry about the air-conditioning, WiFi, everything worked very well. Upon arrival, Vinh showed me the beautiful area nearby. With the bikes they provided, cycling around the rice fields were really awesome. The meals cooked by Huang were terrific and tasty. They were so family-meals and made me recall the meals cooked by my family when I was a kid. The tours arranged by Vinh to the Mai Chau waterfalls and Pu Luong were great. The trips were by motorbike and the experience were great. All in all, Vinh runs the homestay so well with her family and staff. Great hospitality, spontaneous, hazzle free, family-like relationship with the guests. They set a good standard for Homestay ????

We staied at Hakuna matata homestay for 2 nights. Vin the owner is amazing. Very kind and helpfull. And cooks real good?? The place is clean the rooms are big with good comfortable beds with ac of course(: And the place has a great roof top view. Definatly recommend.

Had a grate week in Hakuna Matata homestay, With Vinh, the manager, you'll feel like in your own home, lovely woman, excellent hospitality, amazing view , and best food at village. In addition, she can take care of you for day trips, and recommend sites around the village. Enjoy your trip!

This is place is a PERFECT place! The rooms are very nice, the shower is awesome and the view is crazy! Vinh is an amazing host and an amazing person, so warm and caring and just want the best for you. We’ve been there for few nights and really didn’t want to leave! the village is amazing and the people there are awesome. In the village we didn’t find an amazing restaurants BUT the breakfast and the “family dinner” in the Homestay, which really feels like family by Vinh are something else - fresh vegetables, spring rolls, schnitzel and more that makes you feel like home. We couldn’t ask for better experience to enjoy our time in Mai Chau, especially in the Tet holiday with Vinh and here family.

I stayed in Hakuna Matata 4 nights and didn’t want to leave- best home stay I had in Vietnam!!!!!! The rooms are very nice and clean but the the best part was Vinh the owner. She was so lovely and welcoming and made sure we had the best time, helped with everything we need, made the best food in town!!! And all the family members were welcoming and nice! Our stay was beyond perfect and I recommend everyone to experience this place and the amazing energy Vinh has!
