Lovely location , easy to get to, short distance to there restaurants and shops

Very clean, comfortable and modern hotel with decent food, and exceptional customer service from the chap on front desk who couldn’t have been more helpful when I arrived, and for that reason this will be my go-to hotel when staying in Matlock.

Excellent premier inn - the best I’ve stayed in. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Everything exceedingly clean and well kept. Excellent service too. We really enjoyed our stay. There was a really good choice of food at breakfast. Good value.

great location as only a ten minute walk from train and buses , really great staff and room was clean. We bused it into Buxton, also derby , did the steam train from Matlock station, also the Hights of Abraham and shops in Matlock bath. The hotel is very popular and took us a while to get a weekend that wasn't fully booked.

Unfortunately went wrong from the start for a four night stay, room allocated had no electricity. Soon changed so not that much of a problem, however the new room had no towels or toilet paper so had to go down to reception and request the items, room cleaned on the third day and the cleaner failed to leave new cups or replenish the tea and suger. Group dinner on the last night for twenty, food served cold and at one point had to serve ourself's from the kitchen counter due to the poor staff being overwhelmed. Cooked breakfast this morning was cold, all in all not one I would recommend for a group stay. Staff were great, just not enough of them for the amount of guest when busy.

We stayed as a couple for two nights. Check in was efficient. Room was clean with a comfortable bed and good sized bath. We had the meal deal which was good value. There was a good choice at breakfast, we opted for cooked both days and the food was fine. For dinner on the first night the restaurant was very busy but we were still looked after well and the staff coped well. The second night the restaurant ran out of chicken which was the only blip during an otherwise excellent stay. However there was enough choice on the menu that we could still find something we liked . Throughout the stay the staff were friendly and efficient. This was definitely one of the best Premier Inns we have visited at a good price and is recommended.

Had a short break here with friends. The location is ideal. We visited Matlock Bath, Bakewell and Haddon Hall all a short distance away. Parking was easy. Above all the staff were so friendly. Leigh was on reception when we arrived and couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful with all our queries. Also in the restaurant nothing was too much trouble for him to deal with. Would stay here again on a future trip to the area.

A good stay. The hotel was very well situated for access to Matlock and the surrounding areas especially The Heights of Abraham. Upon arrival we met Leigh at reception who was extremely helpful sorting out a mixup with my accessibility room. He and the rest of the staff were friendly and welcoming which made our stay extra special. I would definitely recommend this hotel and return myself.

My friends and I had an extremely enjoyable stay in Matlock Premier Inn. The room was comfortable and relatively clean and tge staff were friendly. The breakfasts were good with a wide range of cooked and nkn- cooked options. I would like to give a shout out to a couple of members of staff who made our stay great. Leigh who helped us with taxi's and recommended great places to eat in the evenings. He was always genuinely interested in our days activities. Also Dan who always greeted us with a smile and was very accommodating. Both made us feel extremely welcome.
