Sehr basic die Zimmerkategorie Dass es heutzutage noch Zimmer mit WC & Dusche auf dem Gang gibt... Bei diesen Buchungskonditionen in der Nebensaison ist das etwas übertrieben. Ganz ehrlich, dass sollte als Angebot auf ********** nicht angeboten werden. Zudem das Parken sehr teuer, Pontresina ist ja nicht Manhattan. Als Vielnutzer der Plattform ist das etwas entt?uschend.

Einfach und doch sehr speziell....mein Zimmer war super herzig. Alles da für eine übernachtung....gute Erkl?rungen wo was ist. Bus Verbindung fast vor dem Haus....empfehlenswert....Danke

Das Hotel Steinbock ist mir als aussergew?hnlich kundenfreundlich aufgefallen. Ich hatte aufgrund der gesch?ftlichen Aktivit?ten die Anfrage gestellt, sportliche Einrichtungen vor der offiziellen ?ffnungszeit nutzen zu dürfen. Der sen. Chef pers?nlich hat mir an beiden Tagen früh am morgen alles hergerichtet, damit das m?glich wird. Auch sonst fühlt man sich famili?r wohl betreut.

Was not able to accomplish planned 100 ride due to fatigue. However the room was very pleasant and allowed for a great day of rest and recuperation. Hope to return someday to Pontresina to attempt the ride and when I do I look to once again staying at this great locale in the Engadin Valley. Thanks Hotel Steinbock for a great stay

Great hotel with perks! It was raining very hard when we arrived and we didn’t want to go out. The staff showed us to our rooms and arranged for a table at the hotel restaurant. The food was the best I had in Switzerland. Then the next day at breakfast the food was once again delicious and varied. Our room was small but fun and there weren’t many other rooms sharing the communal bathroom The biggest perk was the spa! The pool was warm, and the hot tub even warmer and more comfortable. It was a great perk we didn’t expect.

We absolutely enjoyed staying at the Hotel Steinbock! Everyone was so friendly and helpful, from picking us up at the train station to our check out where they provided a small goodbye gift. It was our wedding anniversary and they surprised us with a special table for us for dinner, complete with a candle. What a nice touch! The owners came by each night at dinner to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The room and bed were very comfortable and we had a nice view of the mountains. Breakfast was fantastic, many options to choose from. We would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly staff, knew me by my name. Breakfast was splendid. All through the hotel lots of very thoughtful details. Swiss hospitality at its best. The Engadin Guest Card (that came for free with the booking) allowed me to travel the area using public transport and use several lifts for free.

My Husband and I found the Hotel Steinbock from a Rick Steve’s book and he never lets us down. This is a beautifully quaint hotel (more like an Inn) in the small village of Pontresina. It is very conveniently located near the train station and they will have a driver pick you up and deliver you to the door. The Spa is a huge bonus with rooms for steam, saunas, pool and a hot tub. Breakfast is included and was wonderful. I am Vegan and they were very accommodating. The ladies that waited on us at breakfast as well as dinner went Above and Beyond with their service. Across the street you can sit outside and have drinks and food while watching the sun setting on the Alps. We would definitly stay here again:)

LOCATION: Hotel Steinbock is located at Via Maistra 219, at the far end of village, away from the hustle & bustle of Pontresina. It takes about 10~15 minutes on foot to reach the shops and train station. Pontresina is well-connected by trains and buses which enables you to explore the wider region with ease. Those going on day trips and excursions will find the nearest bus stop ‘Pontresina Post’ just 200m down the road from the Hotel. Guests arriving via public transport would be pleased to know that the Hotel provides a Complimentary Shuttle Service to and from Pontresina Station. Inform Front Desk of your ETA and they will dispatch a driver to fetch you. OVERVIEW: Hotel Steinbock is possibly the oldest inn in Pontresina with a long history dating back to 1651. It has been modernised where appropriate and tastefully renovated to offer both comfort and style. The family-owned hotel has 32 rooms, each with its own layout and décor. Not all rooms have ensuite facilities, do check the detailed description when booking online. ROOM: booked a Standard Single but received a Complimentary Upgrade to what appeared to be a Classic Double – such a pleasant surprise! The spacious room was clean and well-appointed. It had hardwood flooring and was furnished with: comfortable bed; pair of bedside tables with reading lamps; coffee table with 2 armchairs; wall-mounted TV over a small desk with lamp & chair. The huge wardrobe offers ample storage and contains a safe-deposit box, mini fridge, luggage rack, hangers, bathrobe & slippers. Pleased to find complimentary snacks and bottle of drinking water next to a handwritten Welcome Card – such thoughtful gestures and personal touch are always appreciated. There’s a coffee machine in room and if you wish to make tea, electric kettle and teabags are available from Reception on request. BATHROOM: spacious, clean and well-lit. Furnished with huge mirror over wash basin, toilet and shower over bathtub. Clean bath linen, toilet rolls, box of tissues, basic toiletries and hairdryer provided. Only problem was the poor drainage of bathtub which left you standing in a pool of soapy water when taking a shower - a proper shower stall would be preferable to this arrangement. F&B: room rate is inclusive of daily breakfast, served in an inviting dining room with Swiss pine furnishings. Buffet breakfast comprises: good selection of breads & pastries; jams & butter; cereals & müesli; yoghurt; eggs; assorted cheeses and cold cuts. Beverage choices include milk, fruit juices, tea & coffee. When informed of my severe food allergies, the staff on duty meticulously went through every breakfast item at the buffet table, pointing out the ones I could safely consume and the ones I should avoid. When in doubt, they even went to check the ingredient lists on food packaging! Truly impressed by their dedication and professionalism as service personnel seldom respond in such a helpful and understanding manner.
