The food, views, cleanliness, wellness center, room size and kind professional staff were all outstanding. We came from California to cycle and explore the Dolomites and stayed 4 wonderful days. I highly recommend Alpenrose as the chef is excellent as well as artistic - all the delicious food fresh and beautifully served. They easily helped us with special requests like bike storage and finding transportation as well as fun things to do. We enjoyed meeting the other guests at meals as well as the Sunday happy hour they put on. We look forward to returning!

To expensive, uneven service! Nice environment! The staff was very nice and friendly but very not atttentive! We asked for 3 wineglasses for our bottle! Got 2! The third glass came when we finished the main course! They missed bread service! The French fries for the main course came 20 minutes after we finished the meal and we asked for it 3 times! The meat and pasta was really good but the shrimps for 28 euros was a joke! Over all - to pricy, not the service that one could expect from a place like this! To be honest I would rather spend my money some where else. Even though the nice surroundings!

Avoid the apartments. I have no doubt that the hotel is comfortable, the cooking is good and the service is commendable, but avoid the apartments. Having seen that they had 1 or 2 bed apartments, we booked one which expressly stated as a 2 bed. It was not. It had 1 bedroom and a pull out sofa bed in the living room/kitchen. The apartment itself, whilst clean, was very tired. The markings had worn so badly on the cooker, you couldn't tell which ring was being turned on. We addressed the bedroom issue with reception on the day of arrival. The lady understood the issue (having gone through the booking process with us again on line) and said that she would speak to the Director. The Director did not come to speak to us. In fact, the matter was wholly ignored thereafter! A great shame. We would have drunk and dined in the hotel. Instead, we chose to go elsewhere. All good will was lost. Such a shame and poor management. We knew that they had a proper 2 bed apartment empty for our stay. There was mention of a swap, but only at 89 Euros/night on top! I should say, however, that breakfast was excellent and the hotel itself seemed very nice. The wellness provision was good. Do not think that skiing in/out is possible in poor snow. It's off piste and the walk up from the town/bottom of the piste in boots is a real drag.
