Das Hotel liegt weitab von allem, umgeben von Müllhalden. Wer kein eigenes Transportmittel hat ist hier auf lange Fu?wege oder weit überteuerte Tuk-Tuks angewiesen. Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt und die Zimmer ganz nett gestaltet. Das Frühstück bietet nichts besonderes, aber es ist ausreichend. Beim Abendessen achtet das Restaurantpersonal mehr auf den immer laufenden Fernseher, als auf die G?ste. Die Rezeption ist freundlich, aber wenig hilfsbereit.

L'essence des chambres d'h?tes, c'est le contact humain, l'échange et le partage. C'est ce qui nous fait souvent préférer cette solution à des h?tels, plus impersonnels. Avec Dolores c'est 100% gagnant. C'est une personne extraordinaire, adorable, serviable, riche en conseils, qui aime ses h?tes. John n'est pas de reste, toujours prêt à donner un coup de main, jusqu'à faire 10kms pour nous aider à changer un pneu ! Voilà pour l'essentiel. Pour le reste il s'agit d'un hébergement modeste, qui convient pour des séjours de deux à trois nuits, les petits déjeuners sont copieux, préparés par Dolores, bien s?r. Le paysage, au bord du lac, est magnifique. Nombreuses possibilités de balades ou randonnées.

Merci à Dolorès et à son chien Crayon pour l’accueil chaleureux. C’était tout simplement parfait. La chambre était propre et très jolie ! Le petit déjeuner était bon aussi. Nous recommandons sans hésitation ce B&B ! Dolorès qui est adorable, vous aidera à planifier vos visites dans le Connemara.

Forest Hill is een mooie B&B die wat lastig te bereiken is. Maar zeker de moeite waard om te proberen. De eigenaresse Dolores was heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Ook was ze aanwezig voor tips in de omgeving. Vanuit Oughterard is het mogelijk om heel Conemara te verkennen . Jammer dat het dorp veel gesloten bedrijven had. Galway is echter dichtbij en de moeite waard. Clifden op een uur rijden bruiste en heeft leuke bezienswaardigheden waarvan Sky Road een aanrader is.

Dolores and John are absolutely amazing! Their accommodation is really a place you can call home sweet home during your stay in Ireland. They are truly very kind, caring and provide an excellent service, super clean and comfy en suite rooms, delicious breakfast and a wonderful company if it comes to a pint, or a glass of wine after a tiring day ;) God bless you! Dolores and her husband are very nice and friendly hosts. The B&B was cozy and quiet, with a generous breakfast. The area is really peaceful and beautiful. Thank you for your kindness, we had a great time.

Dolores is an absolute Angel!! She was the most hospitable, caring, and amusing hostess we have ever met. I had suffered from food poisoning just the day before I arrived at her and John’s B&B and she took AMAZINGLY good care of me, where I felt 1000% better by the time I left. They also have a really goofy and SWEET Labradoodle who we fell absolutely in love with! We highly recommend staying at her beautiful place. You won’t regret it!
