Stayed one night as a wedding anniversary treat. The hotel was beautiful and the staff so friendly. Only mentioned in passing about our anniversary at check in and when we got back to the room later that evening there was some sweet treats for us, so kind.

The place was spotless. Beds comfortable. High quality bed linen. However the rooms are not soundproofed - at all. We could hear the couple next door chatting on the phone and things. This would NOT be a hotel for a romantic break away which is a shame as it is a lovely hotel. Couple of other niggles - the aircon didn’t work. This was one of the reasons we had chosen this hotel due to weather forecast being warm. Also if anyone is not taking toiletries expecting L’occitane, they have changed the range being used.

the room was clean and comfortable and had aircon the lady manager was super helpful i would return just because of her the bar was a little underwhelming and lacking in atmosphere, and no ale on a pump

I had a lovely experience during my stay. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and everything was clean. The staff were absolutely amazing—friendly, helpful, and always attentive. The food was also very good and exceeded expectations.

This location was perfect for seeing the town and just a beautiful and comfy stay. We absolutely loved dining in the restaurant for breakfast and it was upscale. The room and bathroom were straight out of a magazine and I highly recommend someone to stay here.

The food at this hotel is amazing.. Really nice rooms, friendly staff, comfortable bed and nothing is too much trouble...stayed for 2 nights and would happily go back again if in the area. Trivial matter that i didnt understand, a ￡10 parking fee??

Stopped over at ‘The Burnside’ B&B in Edmundbyers. It’s a new venture by the owners to offer Campervan stopover, they have one themselves! It’s not FREE, it’s ￡10 and ￡5 extra if you want EHU, which we did. The grounds are beautiful, very tranquil with a little steam running through and a pond on the hillside, set just outside the local village. You’ll find two really friendly pubs in the village, which is just a 5 minute walk away. The landscape is phenomenal, scenery nearby is off the scale with rolling hills and dips into the valley as far as the eye can see. As we made our way to nearby Derwent Reservoir, taking the scenic route, we had to stop several times to take it all in, simply stunning. Taking of stunning, the ￡12 we each paid for breakfast in the sunroom was probably the best ￡24 we spent on our road trip, smoked bacon, local sausages, perfectly fried egg, black pudding, grilled tomato quality beans and the most delicious mushrooms I’ve ever had complemented by quality toast and real dairy butter. Unlimited tea, pressed juice and a great selection of cereals, fresh fruit and yogurt too, a real treat. The welcome from Jenna and her Partner was so warm and friendly, really great hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. It’s not a campsite, however fresh water is available along with a warm toilet and hot water. Electric hook-up easily accessed, better than some facilities on so-called campsites. Could not recommend this place more 6/5.

Perfect hotel for a relaxing break Had an extremely comfortable stay. Rooms are big and airy - we stayed in a King suite. Staff were friendly and very accommodating - our room was on the road side of the hotel and we could hear the traffic, however, on request we were moved to a really quiet room on the other side of the hotel. Continental breakfast was delicious and service was excellent. H?tel is in a beautiful village and is in easy walking distance into Stratford- about 20 min walk. We would definitely stay again.

We went to Stratford upon Avon Races and stayed at Burnside Hotel. Walked to racecourse. Room was spacious with a lovely comfortable bed. Breakfast was very tasty with a good selection to choose. Staff are friendly and helpful. Indian food we had in pub was very good.

Well worth a visit if wanting b/b in this beautiful area. Comfy and spacious rooms with the the added bonus of having a kettle, toaster and microwave in your room ( really like your own self contained cottage) . Lovely breakfast in the owner's conservatory which was served by Jenna who always had a smile and time to chat with us. Definitely book again.
