Very helpful reception staff who helped me get the rights rooms for my varied group. Great welcome when we got there, friendly bistro service, special welcome for assistance dog, excellent breakfast - overall a great though short stay. Many thanks.

Ate dinner 2 nights in a row as it was delicious staff were so friendly and welcoming open fire was so toasty… me and my friend both had fish both nights can’t fault the meal or the drinks all excellent can’t wait to return

We went for lunch at the Atholl Arms Hotel in Dunkeld for my 50th girls’ weekend and it was absolutely brilliant! ?? From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredible – so friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel special. The food was outstanding, the drinks were spot on, and the service couldn’t be faulted. A real highlight was being surprised with a complimentary bottle of Brut for my birthday – such a thoughtful touch that made the day even more memorable. ?? If you’re looking for somewhere with amazing food, great atmosphere, and staff who go above and beyond, this is it. Couldn’t recommend the Atholl Arms enough – 100% worth a visit!

Have been many times before , and always enjoyed the food. Went last night with our son and his wife. Decided on a pizza with chicken. Probably the worst pizza ever , and not the cheapest at ￡18. The chicken was completely inedible. Told the servers , who were lovely. No reduction offered , and presented with the bill at full price. Most decent establishments would have offered something off ,or removed the meal entirely. Rather disappointing.

The Worst Sleep I’ve ever had.Drink people talking and shouting outside until 2am then a car/taxi every 5 mins driving past on the cobbles from 5am. Dreadful waste of money. The rooms are very tacky even though they have just been refurbished but they are clean-public areas tired . It’s just not a good experience.

My wife and I stayed at The Atholl Arms for 1 night during a tour of Scotland - it was an excellent experience. This privately owned hotel is in a perfect setting and enjoys a superb riverside aspect. We will certainly return - a first class experience

Stopped in Dunkeld for a break and a bite to eat; we fancied the Atholl arms due to the setting and the terrace by the river. We ordered a seafood basket to share and our young daughter chose chicken nuggets. Well when the food came I knew we’d been well overcharged! The seafood basket was ￡26 for a small piece of battered fish, a handful of chips, two tempura prawns, a few bits of scampi and the same of calamari. It certainly wasn’t worth what they charged, food was just ok, I’ve had worse. Our daughter received five chicken nuggets and a few chips, and we were charged ￡10! Drinks were ￡4 each for soft drinks. I wasn’t surprised to be honest as this is standard for Scottish eating establishments that cater for tourists that are passing through and it’s why I’d never holiday in Scotland. I regularly visit Northumberland and the Lake District where you’re tripping over good eating establishments.

If you venture to Dunkeld, the Atholl Arms and Z’s Bistro is the place to stay and eat. Tip: order the local Perthshire Steak Pie, yum. Before dinner make sure to have a beverage across the street at the Atholl Garden Terrace. Beautiful setting on the banks of the river Tay. The wait staff was absolutely wonderful. David welcomed us by showing us around and made our dinner reservations. Alyx working the Garden was so welcoming making our afternoon a fun experience. She loves Boston, so we became Thundah Buddies! Dillon and Martine were an attentive team making our dinner great. And Yvonne took care of us during breakfast, she was wonderful. She recommended the Birnam Wood (short walk from hotel), Beatrix Potter Gardens (short drive from hotel) and Iain Burnett Highland Chocolatier factory (15-20 minute drive) local gems we would have missed. Note if a 20 minute drive is too far luckily Iain Burnett has a shop in Dunkeld.

Pas facile d’arriver un samedi soir à 3 avec 2 chiens sans réservation. Le serveur nous a trouvé une table, un service sympathique, un repas simple mais excellent. Du cidre à la pression… un excellent movement de repos après une grande journée touristique !
