Delightful stay at an older motel for adults only, which has cozy rooms, lovely landscaping and a wonderful pool area with umbrellas and seating. Although the property is older, the rooms have such a comfortable feel and we were able to relax and enjoy our mini-vacation. The property is very quiet and restful. Our room had a dorm style refrigerator with a freezer (and ice cubes!), small microwave, coffee, dishes, etc, which was great if you brought food back from the wonderful restaurants in the area. Motel is very walkable to the El Paseo shopping district, tons of great dining and upscale shopping. Also has great local coffee shops along with a Starbucks close by. This hotel is often fully booked, so plan ahead if you want to stay here. We plan on returning for our next trip to the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This is a simple, beautiful family-owned inn, with an excellent location close to Palm Desert and Indian Wells. The pool area is typically decorated and well kept, and served as a nice place to hang out for breakfast and in the afternoon. The rooms are simple but comfortable. Breakfast was good and convenient, with a wide variety of home-cooked and store-purchased items, though timing was not suitable for an early start to the day. The value at this location during the Indian Wells tennis tournament is impossible to beat.

A gem! We stayed here in March with 4 other couples for 3 nights and did some tandem bike riding in the desert. The inn is a lovingly restored motor lodge that is an intimate place - think of the opposite of a hilton garden or marriot courtyard. The inn is spotless and quiet. Centrally located just a a few blocks from all the restaurants and great coffee (Vacarro roasters) in Palm Desert. The breakfast is very good and includes a hot dish, pastries and tons of fruit and best of all, Ms. Kim is awesome host.

Great little place, just one street away from the centre. Bars, restaurants and shops right on the doorstep. (Keddys is the go-to for breakfast) Free parking for guests. Super nice well fitted rooms, stayed in 17, superb. Pool is great, like a little oasis. Comfy loungers and quality patio furniture. Quiet early in the week, too. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Had a couple of days, nowhere near enough - really enjoyed our stay, thanks Kim!

If you want a look-alike hotel, with electronic key cards and bland breakfast offerings, this is NOT the place for you. But if you want walkable, good prices, VERY independent and eclectic (and secure) settings - and fabulous breakfast each day this IS very much your kind of place. This place is quiet,close to everything and holds attentive care to every aspect of a stay.

Definitely agree a Hidden GEM???? Feels like I escaped 2 a remote Fantasy Island … so clean so cozy so relaxing… Kim has a genuine loving heart 4 her guests…constantly making sure their needs are met … I have stayed here the past couple years over & over again when I was home searching in the area… I look 4 quality & this is a hideaway 4 ppl who know they’ve found it & want 2 keep it a secret…??

By far one of the best places I have stayed in this area. Beautiful accommodations, great location and comfortable, safe surroundings. Customer service is impeccable. Mom/Pop owned and you can feel the passion and love put into this inn. This will be my go to every chance I get.

Casa Larrea is the perfect spot if you want to be close to lots of amenities, shopping, and accessibility to outdoor activities but what makes it so special is the care from the owner Kim and her staff. As other reviewers have said, it is quirky; no two rooms are the same The inn was built in 1957 and unlike so many small inns in the Palm Springs area, Casa Larrea has not been remodelled so much that it no longer resembles the original. Instead, you have a beautifully maintained quaint inn with a lovely courtyard, pool and hot tub. Breakfasts are plentiful with lots of variety. We were a group of fourteen and the bar/bbq area was a perfect gathering spot in the evenings. A special treat was a bbq Kim and her husband prepared for us - delicious!
