Perfect location- rooms good size. Nice comfortable beds and nice shower.
Negatives- air conditioner in room very loud. Light comes in room at night - need block out curtains, no body lotion.
Margaret River Motel was very clean, neatly presented and in a quiet, convenient location in town. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had good pressure. The microwave, plates, bowls and cutlery were useful. The decor was older style but the price was excellent and I found it perfect my Margaret River stay.

This is an old-style motel which is quite comfortable. We had a very big room with a kitchen and sitting area, and separate bedroom. The wifi worked well and there was a nice big table to work at. It was a bit odd that the owners /managers were rarely there, so it felt a bit 'lonely' (although there were other guests). We found the laundry only because it adjoined the back of our room (!) - having a laundry was handy. It was a bit hard to find our room, as one had to go right around the back, with unclear directions - could be better signposted. Quite well located, although not quite an easy walk into the town.
My wife, my baby and I checked in this motel and we have got room 10 Merlot. Contact less check in was super easy. They also sent us a text the day before to give us more information about check in/out. As we entered the room, we were impressed by how spacious the bedroom is. We like the fact that every bedroom has it's own carpark right at the door step so it makes loading and unloading very easy. The bedroom has a workstation for me to do work, a tv, a bar fridge, a spacious wardrobe, a couch, etc. There's also air conditioning and ceiling fan. We tried to walk over to the main street and it only took us less than 10 minutes. There's also a bbq area and a pool. We highly recommend this place if you are looking for something comfortable and good value for money.
Old motel with old furnishings yet clean and quiet. It was a strange check in with no one at reception at any time, merely a phone number ‘should you have any requests’. There was not a daily room service - washing up of plates, cutlery etc had to be done in a tiny bathroom basin. The dryer in the laundry did not work (after putting in necessary coins) - sent a text message to reception with no reply. Thankfully heater worked well in the unit to dry everything over the 2 days. If owners are not interested in face to face, good old fashion service then maybe they’re in the wrong business.
Situato in una zona molto tranquilla. Le cose positive si fermano qui. Appena entri, un odore di lettiera per la cacca dei gatti, probabilmente il tappeto, ti assale immediatamente. La colazione “compresa” consiste in cornflakes , pane, latte e succo d’arancio messi su un tavolo di vetro all’ingresso. Arrangiati! La notte, improvvisamente partono dei rumori che sembra di viaggiare su una nave cargo. I letti non vengono fatti e le stoviglie te le devi lavare tu. Non c’è una pentola per poter cucinare un piatto di pasta. La reception non rispetta gli orari di apertura. Non esiste rapporto qualità prezzo. Il costo della camera è quello di un hotel di alto livello, ma il servizio e la struttura sono da motel di bassissima categoria. Cercate altrove e se non trovate a Margaret River, ci sono un sacco di piccoli villaggi nei dintorni dove trovare di meglio.
Nice stay. Good location- 10 minutes walk or 2 minute drive to the central road. Largish room. Had issue checking in even though within check in hours as it said you had to call. Not being Australian and not having a package to call Australian numbers, we had to ask a kind stranger down the road to use their phone late at night which was not ideal. However, after phoning, staff were quick to respond and bring the key.
Ok let's start with the positives. Big room, clean, nice grounds ( wasn't pool weather but it looked nice.) Easy walk into town. However check in and check out were completely faceless which felt a little strange for a motel. If you needed anything you had to call. There was a microwave, bar fridge, and minimal cutlery/crockery ( 2 of everything) but no sink!!! You had to wash your kitchen stuff in the bathroom sink. They provided dishwashing liquid but no sort of scourer or sponge. Felt kinda weird.
Accommodation is clean. One toilet roll provided for 3 nights stay for a couple. Advertised as breakfast included which was rather misleading. In fact, was provided with a basic breakfast hamper. If you want a gourmet breakfast, you will be charged $80. There are plenty of holiday accommodation in Margaret River, for what we paid for 3 nights you will get a better deal elsewhere or have a kitchen with kitchen facilities where you can prepare your own meal if you want to. We won't be coming back.
