I rented Unit 1 for my mother-daughter trip so that my mother would not have to use any steps and we could have the most amazing view each & every day! Our stay was fabulous & I highly recommend the Island House. Location is close to restaurants and the 7-Eleven, and most importantly the beach & gulf water are merely steps away! Our unit was well stocked in every way. Beds were comfortable and other furnishings were very nice as well! The owner responded very quickly to my questions. I plan to book this unit every year.

Location, location, location. The location of this place is amazing. You are literally steps from the beach. The beach is spectacular. The beach is clean and quiet but plenty of people around. We had coffee on the beach in the morning and wine to watch the sunset at night. It is also walking distance to many restaurants/bars. The beds are very comfortable. Nice beach towels are provided and beach chairs to sit or recline near the water. There is also an umbrella for some shade. The Wi-Fi was decent. Kitchen had coffee pot and toaster and all the amenities that we needed. The people in the other units were so friendly. We stayed in unit 2 which does not have a view of the ocean. It does feel like management has given up slightly. Upon arrival (flight delays so it was late & dark), the light switches did not work. We had to find and pull the chain for overhead fixtures and stumble around to turn on lamps. There was a random, utility like lamp in the living room - not cute at all but good for light I guess. The dead bolt on the back door was not working when we arrived. My husband has to physically manipulate it and the door to get it to latch. The bath towels are not the best - not a huge deal, but small, old and scratchy. There is a couch and one chair - which worked for the 3 of us but would not have if other kids would’ve joined us. There are no hooks to hang towels or clothes. There was a small drying rack in bedroom that we used but not enough for bath and beach towels and suits. The second bedroom did not have a mirror -not a huge deal but my daughter had to get ready in the living room. It was relatively clean but we found a clump of hair in the bathroom in the mirror the first night. (Yuck!)

Yes! Will come back, for sure. My child and I loved staying here-so close to the water-clean and cozy, kind people staying in the other condos-easy access to everything, super safe, Nina was terrific!

Amazing location in a very quiet area but close walking distance to restaurants, bars, gift shop. Private large beach shared with only a few other units. Unit #4 was large with views overlooking the ocean. Unit was very clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies. Bathroom was also clean and bath linens provided. Beds were comfortable as was sofa seating. Beach towels, chairs and towels provided. There is also an outdoor shower and foot rinse station to avoid dragging sand indoors. Overall we had an amazing stay and will definitely return!
