Maria wants the best for her guests, mostly families. Clean rooms, nice garden. The sandy beach is very close. Several restaurants within 300 meters. As a couple we had lazy, uncomplicated days at Maria’s. We recommend this place and hope that you will find a room available.

Maria and her husband (the hosts) made our stay unforgettable in every possible way. Thank you, Maria, for embracing me and Frederico with warm open arms and giving us the very best, genuine experience of Karpathos. Everything from introducing us to your adorable goats to giving us endless of laughs. You did everything to make sure we had a good stay and Karpathos will always be very special to us. In addition to this, the rooms were cleaned everyday, apartments were located with walking distance to mini markets, restaurants and several beautiful beaches. Hugs, Emma & Frederico

Es handelt sich eum eine kleine Bungalowanlage inmitten einer wundersch?nen, gepflegten Gartenanlage. An der Uferstrasse gelegen, aber ruhig.. 50m zum Strand, 250 m zum Supermarkt, zahlreiche Tavernen in Gehweite. Stayed many times in beautiful Votsalakia / Kampos Marathokampos and thought I'd try Bungalows Maria. Perfect location close to the supermarket and restaurants. Just moments from the beach. Pretty looking bungalows set against the majestic Kerkis mountain and stunning scenery. Swapped apartments the first day as the spiral staircase was not attached safely enough to the wall and was too narrow for me. It was pointed out to me by the owner that the last family who stayed in the apartment had a child and there was no issue. So I was in the wrong apparently? The staircase was not safe and the apartment should not be let to anyone with a small child as they could easily fall through the gaps. New apartment was large but the air conditioning unit in the bedroom was broken. There was a 2nd bedroom with an air con unit in, but I was told to use this one. The complex is run by a couple. The female half informed me the kitchen air con unit would cool the bedroom down at night. It didn't, it was 29 degrees most nights and the kitchen was 19C! I hardly slept. The toilet stopped filling twice. It was fixed. These things happen, its no big deal but the lacking of professionalism made the whole experience very stressful. "Why do you give me so much stress on a Monday? I have other guests coming, I need to get their apartments ready", she said, when I asked how long before it could be fixed. I was also asked 4 times in 2 weeks when was leaving and was it early morning! 4 times. Hundreds of ants in the kitchen, appearing after midnight. An insect spray I bought got rid but the ants moved to the bathroom sink. When I explained the ants had taken up residence in the bathroom sink the owner turned and walked away. Not a word. I was made to feel like everything was my fault and I quote "I had no problems with the last guests in this apartment!" The apartment was cleaned properly once in 2 weeks aside from cleaning the floors more frequently. It was clean but not as pristine clean as all other accommodation I have stayed in over the last 30 years of travelling to Greece. I was made to feel everything that went wrong was my fault. The lacking of customer service skills was shocking. Things break down, problems arise, it's part of life but they can be fixed but the rudeness I received in response is something I had never experienced before in Greece. Not ever.
