Beautiful upmarket stay in a gorgeous location. I will note it’s not walking distance to fort but easily reached by a 10 min Tuk Tuk. We visited in off season and had the entire place to ourself

Highly recommend! The staff is very careful with the guest and we received a free upgrade room as well! ?? We stayed for two nights and can enjoy also the pool and the private beach. The bedroom was very clean and pretty big. We had a very relaxing staying here

Such a beautiful hotel, with beautiful rooms, directly located on the beach - you can have beautiful walks around and enjoy the ocean ?? all outside areas are also very nice so you can enjoy your day on the pool as well. Everyone is so kind - a big recommendation for this special place ??

Ein traumhafter Aufenthalt im Arabella!
Mein Aufenthalt im Hotel Arabella war einfach wundervoll! Schon bei meiner Ankunft war ich von der Sch?nheit des Ortes und der herzlichen Begrü?ung begeistert. Ich hatte das Glück, in einer atemberaubenden Suite mit direktem Meerblick zu übernachten – ein wahres Paradies, in dem ich jeden Morgen mit einem spektakul?ren Ausblick beginnen konnte.
Das Essen war hervorragend, mit einer gro?en Auswahl an k?stlichen Gerichten, die mit frischen Zutaten und viel Liebe zubereitet wurden. Jeder Bissen war ein Genuss!
Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich, immer aufmerksam, hilfsbereit und mit einem L?cheln auf den Lippen. Ihre Gastfreundschaft hat meinen Aufenthalt noch sch?ner gemacht.
Das Hotel Arabella ist ein wahrer Geheimtipp, und ich kann es nur zu 100 % weiterempfehlen. Ich freue mich schon auf meinen n?chsten Besuch!

We loved our stay at Arabella. Loved the simplicity and size of the rooms. Kept very clean and tidy by the staff. Cute offering of bananas for supper in the room with the turn down service. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Pool area was on the small size but we had no problem using it when we wanted to. Kitchen and kitchen staff were A . Food and service was amazing highly recommend the chimichurri prawns & the prawn or fish tacos! All breakfast options were great also! Tuk Tuks available outside the property cost us 1200 rupees to the fort which is approx 15 minutes away. Beach not suitable for swimming but a lot of the Sri Lankan coastline is rough like this and if you want to be able to swim in the ocean you’ll need to stay at one of the touristy areas which actually make great day trips from the hotel. Great spot for a walk along the beach. We went in the peak tourist season & found this good value for money for our family would happily stay again. Staff attentive even playing cricket with our son.
Cons
No kettle in the room for making tea only a coffee machine so you need to wait for the kitchen to open at 8am before you can get a pot of tea- would be nice to have one in the room
If you’re in room 1 it is closest to the road and you might need some ear plugs or white noise.
Also suggest an eye mask as there are shutters that allow the light through.
Breakfast not available till 8 when the kitchen/restaurant opens would be nicer if it opened a little earlier

the building is very well styled and clean. the beach outside of it is sadly very dirty and as soon as you look around from the property sadly the view is not great the place is not engineered for babies (or potentially the elders): our 2 years daughter burnt her feet by walking past a metal door at the pool, and fell down in the room due to a very slippery floor (even when not wet)

Very beaut?f?l boutique hotel at the beah. Very clean and relaxing. Chilling in the garden with a coctail is reffreshing exprience. Staff is very kind and helpful. Besides all, they have amazing cook. Foods are at another level in this hotel. Best culinary experience in Srilanka

The villa is very pretty, however too small if you plan to spend a lot of time in the villa. Lucky for us we went to Galle fort and spent the days there and only came to the room to sleep. What we did NOT like about the villa 1) there is no mini fridge in the room (the suite we stayed was 3 floors up so was not practical to keep going up or down if we needed our wine chilled.) 2) the curtains in the room do not close. if we wanted them shut they had to bring a ladder to close it and come back with a ladder to open it. (we were up by 6am thanks to the direct sunlight) 3) we changed rooms on the 2nd night and the new room was infested with cockroaches. 3 am we had to speak to them to come collect. it was terrible and the ground room smelled too. all in all unless they do a proper pest control and look into the above matter i do not recommend the villa.

Nous avons séjourné deux nuits dans ce boutique-hotel vraiment extraordinaire! Le personnel est vraiment au petits soins, malgré quelques problèmes de coupures électriques ils ont réussi à trouver des solutions! Très très bien placé car à 20min de Galle tout en étant directement sur une jolie plage préservée. Nous nous sommes senti comme à la maison (mais en mieux bien surr!) et serions bien resté encore quelques nuits! Nous recommandons vivement ce charmant hotel, merci tout était parfait!
