Es ist ein unglaubliches Hotel . Von morgens bis Abends ist immer jemand von den Besitzern da . Keine Frage ist Zuviel und alles auf so eine herzliche Art . Man freut sich auf Frühstück und Abendessen . Es schmeckt einfach gut . Man fühlt sich auf dem Zimmer so sch?n privat und genie?t den Balkon und das mitten in de Stadt .Herzliche Grü?e Marcel Borchert

We have stayed in this hotel many times over the past five or six years. It is a family owned/run business and that shows through. There is care in little details like fresh flowers in the rooms and restaurant. We always receive a courteous greeting. The overall atmosphere is so comfortable. The pool and garden are special. We enjoy the restaurant and the rooms are very nice with good beds, pillows and covers. We have stayed here in all seasons.

Lovely stay at the Meranerhof. Excellent room overlooking the garden first floor had a bath, bidet and shower well maintained Rita on a daily basis .Road noise blocked out completely with shutter down at night . Very effective aircon. Vegetarian food was fine , occasionally a little bland for our taste but varied and readily available. Daily salad buffet very good . Spa and swimming pool very enjoyable, we used them every day . Staff extremely helpful and pleasant . Early flight home ,hotel provided breakfast bag to go and night porter made a hot drink for us before we travelled home . Fabulous experience. Travelled with Inghams Excellent care given ,good transfer by private taxi and excellent knowledgeable rep.

Centrally located with easy access to the shopping district via foot. Bus transportation is available near the hotel and the train station is a short 10 minute walk. The staff is exceptional and professional. Room cleanliness was always outstanding and timely. Restaurant service was impeccable. Attentive service without being intrusive. Potential menu options were always presented upon request.

This lovely hotel is right in the middle of Merano, alongside the stream that bisects the town, and right next to the public Terme. This is a hotel in the old style with service that is always helpful but that can also be a bit formal. Parking is free. The downstairs indoor swimming facility is very relaxing (and has an open view on the garden). The food in the half-pension package is really top notch and offers a lot of variation night to night. You can take your meals on the terrace in nice weather. This is a family-run establishment. The director/owner, a charming woman of distinctive bearing, is constantly in evidence to make sure that everything is just right. I thought that I had read that some rooms have decorations in the Liberty Style. Ours didn't, although everything in it was quite well conceived. The public rooms, terrace, and garden are very elegant, but I didn't think of their decorations as Liberty either (but I'm no expert). All the reception staff spoke good English (as well as Italian and German, I think), as did many of the other hotel staff. When we visited, most of the clientele were of a certain age (mostly German, some Italian, but no other English speakers that I met). I'm not sure how this place would suit children.

We are glad to hear, that you enjoyed the stay in our hotel including the staff and the charming owner Mrs. Eisenkeil which do everyday her best and looks that for every guest everything is just right. Our hotel is in Liberty style thats correct and absolutely like that. Every room in our hotel is a little bit different, we do have also rooms where the liberty style element are more. The terrace was build later, and is build in general classic. We have certain times a year were a lot of guests are from a certain age, and periods with more mixed clients from different ages and nationalities. At the moment for example we have a lot of english speeking clients. That changes from week to week. Third time to the hotel and it remains a great place to stay. I had a single room at the front of the hotel overlooking the river, well laid out and plenty of space. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, especially when you can eat on the terrace. Well placed for all the amenities of town.

How many luxury hotels do you know where the owner walks around making sure everything is perfect? Elegant, old fashion and at the same time with modern amenities. Amazing restaurant, impeccable personnel, great pool and spa services. Our room was spacious and comfortable; our patio a real plus. Easy parking, and a few steps away from downtown. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience a long gone era.

We spent a week in the Meranerhof in June, encouraged by the great reviews. The reviews turned out to be correct, this is a beautiful, very well run family hotel in a great location in the centre of Merano overlooking the river. The location can mean some traffic noise at times if you’re sitting in the lovely garden, but it’s never intrusive. We had room 107, at the back of the hotel overlooking the garden with a generous balcony. Our room seemed to be larger than most standard rooms, with a vestibule area, walk in wardrobe and a huge bathroom with a beautiful old stained glass window from the original hotel on this site. Room cleaning and maintenance was exemplary. We had an issue with our air conditioning which was quickly fixed the same day. We stayed half board, and breakfast and dinner were very good. The breakfast buffet has a wide range of food available, both hot and cold, and the bread is all locally made and delicious. The scrambled eggs were also “real”, not the horrible powdered stuff! Dinner varied from very good to simply amazing. A 5 course menu, ordered the morning before, with salad buffet, an appetiser from the kitchen, then soup or pasta (which was lovely) main course (meat, fish or vegetarian) and dessert. All freshly prepared and beautifully presented. There is a gala night once a week with music and a special menu. Don’t visit the Meranerhof if you’re on a diet! The Eisenkeil-Waldner family, who run the hotel, and have done for many years, are justifiably proud of their hotel and always walk around the restaurant once or twice a day for a chat and to make sure everything is OK. The rest of the staff are friendly, multilingual and happy to help with anything you need. This was our first visit to Merano, and the Meranerhof, but it won’t be our last.
