The hotel is clean and room is spacious. The staffs are very helpful and friendly.

Mama Shelter certainly has a distinct energy, but I found it to be a bit of a mixed bag. The property is clearly aiming for that high-octane, "party" atmosphere you’d typically find at a Moxy, which might suit some, but the decor felt a touch forced and wasn't really to my taste.
The service was perfectly professional and the room was kept impressively clean, but the amenities were where things got a bit odd. I was rather surprised to find adult content readily available on the TV system—certainly not something I’ve encountered elsewhere. While I suppose it fits their "edgy" branding, it caught me off guard, to say the least.
The location is fine if you need to be in this specific corner of East London and there's an overground station just at the end of the road, but overall, it feels like a case of style over substance. It’s a decent enough spot for a night if you’re after that specific scene, but it didn't quite hit the mark for me.

We enjoyed our first time at Mama Shelter in London. The location is great, there are buses next to the hotel and Bethnal Green underground station at a 12-min walk. The hotel is also very close to the Broadway market and Regent’s canal. There are plenty of restaurants and shops around. We had a medium-sized room with comfortable beds. We didn’t try breakfast this time as we usually do at other Mama Shelter locations as we knew that it wouldn’t be an issue to find options around the hotel. We did have dinner at the hotel restaurant one night and really enjoyed the food!

The breakfast was great, the location is in a very cool/artsy area. The hotel is very eccentric overall, which I loved!

I love the mama shelter as it’s a perfect location for where I need to be. I book it a loT and get the best price via trip . I wish they did a better deal for breakfast. The staff are usually very helpful but the reception staff this weekend were not as helpful as usual.

Loved the vibe of the hotel, rooms were clean and cozy, bathroom felt quite small but overall a comfortable stay. Tube station is quite a walk away but there is a bus station right opposite the hotel that can take you to central london easily.
Shoreditch is quite vibey and up and coming!
