The owner Dan was very friendly, welcoming and helpful . Excellent breakfast. Comfy bed. Nice clean shower room. Good value for money. Excellent location and parking permit provided.

Just come back for a couple of days in Harrogate and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Beds were lovely and comfy and nothing was too much trouble. Lots of nice little touches as well. The breakfasts were AMAZING and you certainly didn't want much for the rest of the day. Thank you very much Jill and Dave.

We had a lovely welcome from Dan when we arrived early to drop off our luggage, and the room was ready, so we checked in. A quiet neighborhood close to the town center and easy to walk everywhere. Room very clean, with fridge and kettle, tea and biscuits. The dining room for breakfast is bright and beautifully decorated. Breakfast is amazing - full Yorkshire with vegetarian option available, pastries, French press coffee or tea, and a really lovely granola bowl with Greek yogurt and fresh berries. You won’t go hungry! Dan was really helpful with local recommendations and we enjoyed our 3 night stay immensely. Would not hesitate to stay again.

I was in Harrogate for a reunion and wanted a nice hotel to use as my base for the weekend. I couldn't have chosen a better place than The Franklin. From the moment I checked in on Friday afternoon, to leaving on Sunday morning, the hospitality from Dan and Felicity was second to none. A spotlessly clean and tidy room, with plenty of space and comfort. Booking a double meant that I had both complimentary flapjacks to myself, as well! Breakfast was excellent on both mornings and they accommodated my gluten free requirements with zero fuss. Only a few minutes walk from the train station made getting in and out very straightforward. Thanks so much for making it easy to choose my hotel for the next reunion!

I have just stayed her with my son for a golf trip. Dan and his wife have made us feel at home after a 5 night trip. The breakfast was to die for, and the beds and rooms were so comfortable. I feel like I have had a proper break away from home, and the hotel has everything one needs. Easy to park, central..loads of restaurants nearby, and a supermarket on your doorstep. A lovely friendly warm atmosphere where everyone was welcome. Thanks Dan it was lovely to meet you.

We make the trip to Harrogate every year for the Home & Gift show at the conference centre, and this year found this gem of a B&B. It’s very central but on a quiet street (parking permits provided by the hosts). Felicity and Dan were so welcoming and friendly. Our room was well equipped with tv, hairdryer, mini fridge and storage. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was second to none - choice of continental with fresh fruit on request and in addition there was the option for full cooked and everything in between. Quality ingredients and nothing was too much trouble.

Very warm welcome from Dan at the Franklin. Room was comfortable and reasonably priced. Excellent breakfast. Dan was very good with local knowledge and advice on good pubs, restaurants and things to do in Harrogate. Franklin was also in a good location. Would highly recommend.

Lovely presented room and just as described. Felicity and Dan were very good hosts and their breakfast was excellent. The location of the hotel meant that we could walk to the town centre in minutes— which had a variety of restaurants which we tried during our visit. The train station was also only a 10 minute walk and we used this to travel to York and Knaresborough. Overall we would highly recommend staying at the Franklin — so much so we actually booked an additional night.

Excellent location. Dan and Felicity were fabulous hosts nothing was to much trouble. Room was clean had all the usual comforts. Complimentary Flapjacks were a lovely touch. Breakfast was excellent cooked to perfection and plentiful. Will definitely be returning.
